I won't go into any great detail about how the play offs are structured in Rugby League but they ensure that the final league positions guarantee the advantage goes to the best placed team throughout the play offs.

Well last week Leeds and St Helens became the two home sides in the Semi Finals and Catalan Dragons and Wigan have joined them after wins of Friday and Saturday and today ...

Former England cricketer Chris Lewis has been jailed for 13 years for smuggling cocaine into Britain.

His co-accused, ex-basketball player Chad Kirnon, was given the same sentence at Croydon Crown Court.

The pair were found guilty of carrying a liquid form of the drug into Gatwick Airport on a flight from St Lucia.

Cans of fruit and vegetable juice seized by officials last December were found to contain dissolved cocaine with a street value of more than £140,000.

British boxing legend Ken Buchanan says he could make a return to the ring at the age of 63.

The former world lightweight champion, regarded by many experts as the greatest British boxer of all time, says he needs to return to make money.

"I would be the oldest professional world champion ever to make a comeback," he told 5 Live Sport.

"It wouldn't be a legal fight, it would be white-collar boxing. I've got to do it, it's the only way to make money."

Wickets tumbling at the county ground Surrey all out for 131 and Derbys 28 for 3 in reply. You'd normally put it down to a lively early season pitch but no doubt the fact that we are playing against Surrey will bring us a punishment for a sub standard pitch.

Knew it had come when I saw the weather forecast...rain/unsettled.....what do people think of Derbyshires chances? I think consolidating on last season and being in the shake up for promotion in the Championship would constitute success. I think with everyone fit we have a side that bats down to about 10...not sure if we have the bowlers to win us games though. Still think we lack a quality spinner.......

Very simple were you a Borg or a McEnroe fan and why.

It was always Bjorg for me simply because he just got on it with very little drama and was so cool about it.

At the time I always thought of him as the Colin Todd of the tennis court.

Brilliant and never rushed.

Mcenroe was always the drama queen brilliant but too much baggage.

I have grown to like him as a pundit he really comes across as a sound guy now but back then...aghh.

Gotta say, I've got mixed feelings on this new Formula One phase.

I honestly believed last season was the best Formula One season I'd ever seen, topped off with the greatest race ever, the final Brazilian GP.

These new rules have been done to shake up the sport somewhat, presumably in order to make it a fairer race and to stop the McClaren/Ferrari dominance. But it isn't a fairer race for the drivers at all, at the moment it just seems like it's replaced McClaren and Ferrari with Brawn GP ...

Why do England bother with T20? It's obvious that no-one from the selectors down knows what's needed to succeed.

Strauss was played purely as captain. Presumably someone in the England setup remembers why he was dropped - an average of 18 runs is pathetic for a batsman of his supposed ability. Can we really afford a passenger who can't hit boundaries? Strauss said it was an easy wicket to play shots - what a pity he hasn't got the right shots.
