Whoops, I ain't got a clue what happened there, but I swear Ashley has been leading from the start, so this wasn't the plan when I asked for the competition to end! Embarassed

Anyway, enough of that crap........ yeah me! Party

It seems that most of my votes have emanated from my Bristol trip efforts, and seeing as I probably enjoyed the whole day more than the others, I feel like I've one twice! I get an award for simply having a great day out, with great people. How lucky can one man get? :lolz:

I pass on my embarrassed commiserations to my valiant adversary, and wish him well in future contests. I personally think he'll get more chances to finally pick up this award, as his input to the forum is unquestioned.
Having said that, I suppose he did come across as "a bit of a fake" on the Brizzle trip............ his pants really didn't seem THAT dirty, tbh!! ;)

Anyway, a sincere thanks to all for the votes. I know some of you aren't the easiest to please, which makes this award even more special.

As for the hat-trick...... do I get a ball to keep, or summat?

Now, seeing as I've secured the title, I'm off to bump the charity thread, just to pi55 you all off again!! :whis:

If I don't see you before, I'll see you all for an Earl Grey on the 28th.

    Thanks again folks. Thumbs up

    Love you
    xxx

The democracy ombudsman committee (picture below) have looked into this on your behalf, fellow posters, and have reported back that all is fair & above board

of course you still have the option of taking it to the Supreme Lider's Appeal Committee (picture of me below)

I personally dont think the best man won or i would have voted for him but i supose he did drive carefully :sccc:

OK this is somewhat embarrasing for me Embarassed

When I set the poll up I always give a set number of days for the poll to be completed by

Therefore I announced the winner last night on the basis that this time had now elapsed

I have just checked my original post and I had in fact not set the number of days 😢 so therefore it was possible for someone to vote after the announcement to make it into a tie.

I offer my most humble apologies to each and everyone of you (particularly the 2 individuals taking part in the vote)

My initial reaction would be to declae the contest a draw this month , despite my already having announced Mucker as the winner.

    What are others thoughts

    your most apologetically

You want the truth? I'll give you the truth......

Sadly, I admit I have been checking the voting all week, and it was stuck on 6-5 (To Ashley) for absolutely bloody ages. Obviously nobody had actually posted, hence the thread not being bumped, but sadly, nobody had bothered to vote in all that time either!!

My plea last night was 100% genuine..... close the poll, declare Ashley the winner.

Simple...... in more ways than one!!

Well, imagine if you will, the amount of pissing myself laughing all over the kitchen lino whilst spitting hot coffee all over our wipe-able pvc gingham tablecloth this very morning, when I opened up the "Winner is announced" thread, and saw this!!

    :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

Having met Ashley in the flesh, it was even more joyous, as I could actually picture his face...... and to say it was a picture, is a massive understatement!!! :smi1:

But seriously, yes, I'm more than happy to share the winnings, and half of the winner's cheque is already wending its way across Chad, as I speak. Not the half with the signature on it, obviously, but half a cheque, nonetheless! ;)

I'm happy with a draw, if you are, Ashley, even if it does cost me my hat-trick ball.

What d'ya say Ash? A big well done to both of us? I reckon so! Thumbs up

I still want half a medal showing under my name though! I'll leave that with the powers that be!!
