Top 5 all time tv comedy series...

Post by Boris on Thu 07 Mar 2013, 5:27 pm

No doubt been done before but discussions on Derek prompted this:

    I would go for:

    1. Fawlty Towers
    2. Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads
    3. Only Fools and Horses
    4. Early Doors
    5. The Office

    What would yours be???

    1. Fools and Horses
    2. Flowery Twats
    3. Likely Lads
    4. Python
    5. The Goodies

..... all not necessarily in that order

Of the modern generation of sitcoms, I was totally turned off by The Office but I have to admit that my current fave is of American Origin and goes by the name of the Big Bang Theory.

The votes have been cast, the scores counted and PRF reveals, in no particular order....

The Big Bang Theory (better before they introduced Amy and Bernadette for my money but still very enjoyable tv. Some Sheldon scenes are genius.)
    Only Fools and Horses
The Inbetweeners (first series in particular, it tried too hard in the others but still makes it in ne ne ne ne ne )
    Dads Army
    Friends

Honourable mentions for How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs, Blackadder and Porridge.

It is so funny how some of the choices reflect that persons personality!!

    A number of the selections i do not find funny one little bit;

The Office was that overrated it was ridiculous.
The likes of Black Adder & Red Dwarf was about as funny as a Rush/Glick press conferance.

As for Glosta's selections  dear oh dear 5 of the most un funny programs i think i have ever seen (sorry Rob)

Its all opinion i guess and my selection will not be everyone's cup of tea.

I can not believe some of you dont have Only Fools & Horses even in your top five WTF.

The finest and funniest programme ever made.

I agree with RJ, Phoenix Nights was class and i also like the follow up Max & Paddy.

A programme the youngsters will not remember that i absolutely loved growing up was Mind Your Language, for those who have not seen it look it up on You Tube very funny (in my opinion of course)

Nearly forgot ..... how can anyone find Friends funny :conf: with the most fecking annoying laughing crowd in the background who laughed if the cast said hello to one another!! what a shite show that was.

The funniest programme for me though has to be a documentary about Connor Sammon which i saw on Rams TV :goalll:
