Phil Everly has died aged 74, the Everly Brothers were a big part of my early musical years and they had a very large enthusiastic following in the UK, their Cathys Clown was the very first release on the Warner Bros label.

'Bird Dog' was an early favourite of mine and I have a recollection that it was adapted as a Rams song back in the olden days.

My mum used to have a copy of Cathy's clown which my sister and I used to play in our very early years, along with a bit of Lonnie Donnegan.

Cathy's Clown still brings back memories of my late mum.

Their songs were a good ten years old before I started to appreciate music...but still sounded good to a young lad as they do today.
Musical artists that had musical talent....how rare is that in today's music industry .
