    Kids and Guns

Post by Boris on Fri 01 Aug 2014, 5:28 pm

C4 documentary last night looking at the gun culture in the USA and how kids are encouraged to get confident using guns from a very early age. Interesting how the answer to the increased killings and accidents through guns seems to be to buy more guns.....it was all very sad and jaw dropping at times, particularly when the 4 year old girl opens up her Christmas present which is her first gun...well worth a look on replay if you didn't see it......

gun culture of america    no child should be given a gun or any weapon. more mass killing in schools will carry on and get worse, bitd a fight after school now, if some one taunts you you splash over social network and back in with uzi and end of arguments, then shoot them selves.

    I liked this bit -

"In Oklahoma, the Omaha city council has just unanimously approved plans for a bar and café to open inside a massive shooting range, after reviewing plans to keep the drunk and armed customers safe and separate by making them wear ID bracelets."

Great foresight by the city councillors - ID bracelets to make it easy to identify the corpses quickly.

Switzerland = One of the highest rates of gun ownership in the world... But also one of the lowest murder rates in the world.

The gun is not the problem, the culture is the problem, take the gun away and they will use an alternative tool. Fix the deep cultural and psychological problems, and the gun can remain, peacefully.
