Well, somebody up there likes us . . .

We're still second because Norwich lost to Wigan (0-1) and stay 5th.

So did Ipswich for good measure (1-2 Leeds) and stay 7th.

So it's not just us that have slip ups.

There have been slip ups by all of the top 6 in recent weeks. So tough to predict this league.

Excellent news. Let's hope it lifts the team so they go and beat Brum on Saturday. We can't rely on other teams dropping points every game.

Well, crapping the bed twice in four days against useless teams could have hurt a lot worse.

Saturday is a 'must win' in my opinion. Less than three points would be an outright disaster.

    That's not funny Mace!

On a younger man, still in his prime, like you or I, where this has little to no chance of actually happening, then yes, funny.
But for someone of NER's age, where this isn't too far from the truth, it's just sick.  Think on!!

Some interesting matches this weekend -

Not Forest (9) v Boro (1) (Boro won 3-0 at home)
Derby (2) v Brum (13) (Rams won 4-0 at St Andrews)
Wolves (8) v Watford (3) (Wolves won 1-0 at Vicarage Road)
Fulham (20) v Bournemouth (4) (Bournemouth won 2-0 at home)
Brentford (6) v Ipswich (7) (Ipswich won 4-2 at Brentford)

Every match looks like a must-win game now, especially for us with our next four games -
    Norwich (A), Boro (H), Wolves (A) and Watford (H)

Bit like the season we went to Wembley and lost to Leicester.
Remember walking away from the BBG when we had lost and actually gone up in the table due to swing in goal difference. The moment of realisation that it WAS meant to be................. well the play offs !!!

Hopefully we'll beat Brum on Satdeh and then it's four games against other Hopefuls that will probably decide whether it's auto or playoffs.

    We have left:

    Brum (H) win
    Norwich (A) draw
    Boro (H) draw
    Wolves (A) win
    Watford (H) win
    Wigan (A) win
    Brentford (H) win
    Blackpool (H) win
    Hudds (A) draw
    Millwall (A) draw
    Reading (H) win

25 points out of 33. We already have 65 and 90 should be enough to go up.

Now, where's that half full glass? LOL

As we found out last season, 90 points might not be enough for automatic promotion, but let's get the points and see where the cards fall.

All we need now, after two limp displays where we couldn't even score a goal, is to go on an unbeaten run until the end of the season.

I can hardly wait for Saturday to come round so the journey can begin.

Perhaps this observation belongs in the cliches thread, but no team has ever won a league match without scoring.
