Same with the other games, protect what you have rather than reply on the chance you might get another opportunity.

Forest - 1-0 up at HT, protect that.

Back to Nigel's way of thinking then?

Not at all, we are a good enough side now to see games out or even carry on scoring but we've fallen short a few times this season in key games at key moment when we shouldn't have. Norwich at home is a great example.

We should have not Norwich back into that game and we shouldn't have let Forest come back from being 1-0 down. We are better than that.

But why? Southport will be saying 'they shouldn't have given the penalty away 2 mins in to injury time'...the Forest fans at half time would have been saying 'their centre half shouldn't have headed the ball in to his own net'......Bournemouth fans will be saying their player 'shouldn't have missed that late penalty'......Should or shouldn't have is meaningless. Norwich deserved at least a point against us, Southport deserved a replay and Florist, much as it irks me to say it, deserved the 3 points on Saturday.....

They didn't! They didn't deserve a point. we gave them one.

Southport didn't, they battled but were a poor conference side, we had all the possession and all the chances, they deserved to lose based on what I saw when I was at both games.

We failed to play against Forest in the second half, it was entirely our fault on all three points raised above. It was us not closing games out, not holding the ball, giving away cheap fouls etc that lost us those points.
