Patrick Bamford and John Stead...Quality (almost single handed) Giant Killers today.

Both are very intelligent and very talented players, and I hope that Bamford reaches the heights which Stead deserved.

Stead played well for us IMHO, and he continued to show today that his hold up play and awareness, allied to his finishing ability, is as good as anyone's below the top level.

Inconsistency and lack of belief in his own ability has been his achillies heel, but on his day he is very good. I expect any Bradfordian worth their salt will realise that he won the game for them today.

How about Bamford? He has the ability and intellect to challenge at the highest level, and despite his inbred Nottingham roots, I hope he does. He was superb for us, and if we played five defenders (Eustace or Thorne, ahem), he would not have needed to defend.

His goals and assists have every chance of getting Middlesbrough promoted...and it could have been us.

Stead certainly was pivotal to all of Bradford attacks from what I saw on motd. He was decent enough for Derby. As for Bamford a great talent who unfortunately didn't quite fit into the wsy we played.

Thought Stead did ok at Derby, remember his away goal at Luton, great view of it from behind the goal.....

Interestingly.. Bamford has scored as many goals in 21 games (8 goals) as he did at Derby.

I think the lad has a bright future and has a real eye for goal, but if given the choice, I'd still have picked Ibe, as I think he fit into our system better. I do wish him well, just not this season.
