    Interesting deals/rumours

Post by Loughborough Ram on Mon 02 Feb 2015, 2:14 pm

Bournmouth have had a £5m offer for Demari Grey rejected by Birmingham, WOW!

Comment of the day so far for me was by Perry Groves on Talksport. When they reported that Reading were interested in Yakubu, "crikey, not sure that he should wear hoops these days".

Cardiff have agreed a fee with Chesterfield in the region of £750,000 to sign striker Eoin Doyle. It is understood the player is en route to Wales for talks now.

You have to think that Bournemouth, Boro and Ipswich fans are looking at our January dealings with some degree of jealousy.

I don't really know the strength of their squads but I think it is perm 2 from 4 of those - we need a 5-6 game winning run and put some distance between us and the pack - otherwise my fingers will be bitten down to the first knuckle by May

I think we now have both the talent and depth to weather the inevitable injuries and slumping form that hit everybody at this point of a long season. My main concern is the difficulty with such a large squad of finding the right starting eleven for each game and ensuring that they play cohesively despite personnel rotation. But Steve McClaren is a capable manager and if he can't do it I don't know who else could.

I'm starting to feel confident. Which probably means we're about be beset by scandal, docked fifty points and relegated.
