    Lambert gone

Post by RRC on Wed 11 Feb 2015, 10:03 pm

His sacking looked inevitable and has taken longer than I expected.

Even we, in our disaster season, scored more goals.

Seems a panic move though at this stage, Lambert has kept them up so far so he has a track record for that. They may have something lined up we will see.

    The price of failure?

Post by SawleyRam on Wed 11 Feb 2015, 10:52 pm

Lambert has gone, Lambert has failed, but at what price?

Premiership football lives on another planet.

No, we know he was sacked but the link that has now been taken down stated that Lambert was due £10 million in compensation as he signed a new 4 year deal in September last.

If that's true Villa will probably be looking for a new Contracts manager, and Lambert will be laughing all the way to the bank.

What usually happens is a deal is cut allowing the ex-manager to walk away with a sackful of loot providing he keeps quiet about the details. Not quite as much loot as the papers say, but enough to stop him having spend too much time down the job centre.

From what I read (and I mean read) as I don't know, Lambert contract had no settlement clause in it therefore if the ex-manager wants to he can claim the remaining monies of the contract which is £10 million.
