    International break soon again and the flag and my self heading to Israel so wondering any one been there, if so any advice,

    You do realise that it is basically a war zone?

    If what you see, hear, read in the press is true then it is not advisable to say anything remotely critical of Jews and/or Israel.

    Be careful and, especially, be safe.

    It's a long flight, so take a big book - something classic like the Qur'an should be ideal.

    Obviously you'll want to see the sights so take a big rucksack.

    It's culturally expected that you give your hosts a gift. It's difficult for them to grow things, so they love it you take them a big bag of nitrogen based fertiliser.

    Unfortunately, the electric supply over there can be a little unreliable. You are best to take one of those old fashioned mechanical alarm clocks.

    Also, I've heard that it is so much cheaper to buy air tickets whilst you're there. Best to just get a one way ticket to go, and sort your return travel when you're over there.
