Through to the Quarter Finals....his 17th consecutive major Quarter Final, only the fourth player to achieve this in the open era. Some achievement, keep going Andy Clapping

He's looking really good again, think Ferrer maybe a tough one next though, and start beating Djokovic

True, there are lots of players in with a chance, including several previous winners and
finalists, plus younger, improving players -
In Murray's half of the draw - Djokovic, Nadal and Ferrer.
In the other half - Federer, Nishikori and Wawrinka.

Murray will have to play a lot better than he did against the unseeded and error-prone
Chardy to have any chance of getting beyond the semis.

Murray has to beat Ferrer on clay to make his third appearance in the semi-final of the French Open.

Ferrer has leads Murray 4-0 on clay so far - and Ferrer has reached the final of the French
Open once - so it's not a given that Murray will get past him.

No sign of a Scot today, Rob !

    Absolutely superb performance.

He will still need at least another gear on Friday against Novak though, especially in terms of his first serve percentage....

The overnight break will probably favour Djokovic - he'd started to look weary and he was
making more mistakes than he usually does. If Murray would be more aggressive from the
start, instead of waiting for a crisis, he'd have more chance.

BTW how long are bathroom breaks supposed to last? Djokovic took ages.

In a similar vein to an overnight halt between Tiger Tim Henman and possibly Ivanisevic, around 2001(?), I fear Andy's best chance may have left him with the setting sun.

What a fightback though - How often has he looked the better player, only to be beaten by ten minutes of rapier like tennis from Djokovic ? That's the first time I've seen him turn the tables on clay.

Whatever happens tomorrow, he has played his best ever tennis at Roland Garros this season.
