    Lancs v Derbyshire

Post by Boris on Tue 26 May 2015, 8:21 am

Thought we did ok in the first innings getting over 350..obviously a decent pitch as Lancs are only 30 odd behind with just 4 wickets down. I think hanging on for a draw is all we can hope for??

What is the situation with Durston and Pallidino??

    Is Madesen injured?

I have found some of our team selections this season a tad bizarre to say the least. I would have thought playing your strongest 11 every game was the way forward but we seem to chop and change a lot and don't seem any better for it.

What has happened to Palladino? I don't really rate Durston in the 4 day games though. Was full of optimism for this season but it isn't wuite panning out is it.

Madsen broke his finger and is out for a few weeks. I would play both Durston and Palladino..I think Palladino must be injured. Our middle order is a bit vulnerable I think at the moment....

    Derbyshire 370
    Lancashire 551 (Taylor 4-103, Critchley 3-50)

We have a mountain to climb even if we don't collapse like the last time v Lancs (114 all out)

Still it's good to see a couple of the younger bowlers doing well (they both got a few runs batting too)

Still 50 behind with 7 2nd innings wickets standing. I think we will have to bat up to just before tea to make the game safe. A century from Amla would be timely....

Palladine is injured and Durston not considerd fit enough for 4 day game as recovering from op

    Another pathetic performance.
Had high hopes for this season but sadly we remain clueless.

166 all out. Zero resistance once Chesney Hughes got out.

Maybe the lads fancied the afternoon off?

Lancashire's two South African were a lot better than Amla, who hasn't been much of an asset so far.
