A couple of really solid signings for Rotherham there. They seem to be sensibly going about stabilising themselves as a Championship club. I don't expect them to be challenging for promotion, but I'd be surprised if they're not comfortably mid table next season.

I agree - a couple of canny signings there.

Ben Pringle has apparently decided he's too good for Rotherham and won't sign a new contract.

I reckon that Madine has the potential to be the bargain signing of the year. He's a big strong no-nonsense centre forward with good balance and the knack of scoring goals. Unfortunately, he'e also a violent arseshole with a terrible attitude. If Lennon (unless he buggers off to Leicester) can get his head sorted he could easily be a 30 goal a season striker.

51 goals in 203 appearances..stats don't really back him being prolific in a higher league......

He might just end up wasting his talent, but having seen him play a few times, when he's on form he's brilliant. He's had some runs where he scored a lot of goals, but then managed to cut himself off in mid-flow by doing something stupid - 18 months inside for assault for instance.

I consider him to be a very talented footballer, but he manages to overcome that talent by being a prize dickhead. At some point he might realise that being a footballer is a far better option than being a thug and start to realise some of that potential.

I see Vossen has signed for Burnley after his season long loan at Boro last season. With Bamford surely unlikely to return Boro must be wondering where the goals will come from season.

I said it last season; if Boro didn't get promoted, they'd slip into obscurity. A solid well-organised defence, but little else. Norwich showed that if you put them on the back foot early, they have no plan B.

Very surprised Downing went to Boro. I'm sure there's a number of PL clubs that would want him.. I know he's a bit of an icon there.. but even so! A very good piece of business for them.. however, now Bamfors has gone to Palace, will they have anyone to stick it in the net?

The Red Dogs haven't been very busy in the transfer market but I reckon they've signed a decent centre back in Matt Mills. I'd have been happy to see him join us.

Rumours are that Boro are trying to buy Jordan Rhodes for £14m (fourteen million pounds!!!!!!!!). That is f*ckin madness, especially for such a sh*t club with a pethetically small fan base.

I would never slate Boro too much our ground is a replica copy of theirs, they have a good fan base for their catchment, we get more in the ground because it costs less simple as that, if we charged admission like them our gates would be similar.

They like us are putting a big effort this year the team to beat in my opinion, 14 m is way over the top but Rhodes guarantees goals at this level.

F*ck me Angus, you're like a f*ckin headache, nagging on about the same old things.

We charge what we charge and I don't believe for one moment that Boro charge more than us, and even if they did how the f*ck would you know? As usual you have to have a dig at the Rams whilst pretending to know everything about everything, what a muppet.

Funny thing that though Angus. I've just checked and our season ticket prices appear to be higher than theirs. They also have this offer - "All Adult, 18-21 and Over-65 Season Card holders will again be offered a free drink either before or after every home league game". Obviously that doesn't include renewal discounts. They do however, offer free season tickets to under 11s when purchased with an adult season ticket in a specified area of the ground.

So I don't think the reason that we are better supported is to do with price.

What a complete cretin, like most things you are totally wrong, I would know because like most grounds in the league I have been.

It isn't a dig at the Rams more at fools like you who have a pop at good clubs of similar stature to our own, delusions of granduer that didn't exactly help last year.

Boro are a decent supported club for the size of the town and they don't do bad away either.

Well I do and as you know most Season Ticket holders have access to Season Tickets under £400, many way less than that. Specified area is the key we have thousands of free kids not hundreds.

We may have the top gates in the league, in terms of revenue not so.

No criticism from me sensible season ticket and matchday prices is good business, not convinced by the freebies or over generous OAP Rates are though.

I will criticise the prat who called Boro a shit club with a crap fan base, when in reality they are pretty similar to us, file with Forest, Leicester, Wolves, Norwich, Ipswich, Stoke etc, provincial clubs with decent local catchment and support.
