Just hammered Somerset in a rain-reduced 14 over slog to get their 50 over competition off to a winning start. Nice to see Madsen back in the runs....

Duckworth lewis went against us tonight v Yorkshire..rain meant our target was reduced by 40 but we lost 13 overs..think we would have won it..lost by 7 runs Bang head

Derbyshire did very well considering how strong Yorkshire are.

The Duckworth Lewis score was very harsh needing Derbyshire to score almost a run per
over more than the Yorkshire innings.

Derbyshire had to get 196 off 28 overs. Yorkshire only got 127 runs off their first 28 overs
and 179 off their last 28, so they weren't scoring at that rate at any stage in their 42 overs.
    Sometimes D/L is baffling.
