    D L D L.

'No need to panic yet' is the Newcastle Chronicle headline.

I think Clement might have been a better fit for the Toon. Their fans KNOW they're Real Madrid.

I have to admit I had a little chuckle when a rather disgruntled Geordie came on 606 on Saturday night bemoaning Schteeve's lack of a plan B.

They have slight delusions of granduer up there, Steve has been backed with at least 2 really good players coming in Wijnaldum and Thauvin so he will have no excuses, I thought they played really well at Man United so signs are he is on the right lines but he will need a win soon. No ill will from me I am grateful for some of the football he put on at Derby and he certainly reignited some interest in the club from young people, which was declining rapidly.

Totally agree regards him reigniting the club and the good football they played especially that first season.
But he then shi* on the same club with his sappy behavior once Newcastle came calling.
And undid all the goodwill he had earned the previous 18 months.
I understand managers and players will always move on to supposedly bigger things.
But he acted like a prat..." A big girl" ( was I think the words used by one of his coaching staff who later refused to join him up there).

I hope they have a shite season - delusions of grandeur based on strong supporter base and history (oops that's us as well)

Lets not forget that rapid decline of interest is because of Mac also. That final 2-3 months under him was a disaster.. this current disappointing form is a continuation of his regime, rather than something new. We just need to stop the rot and get a win. Get morale back. Then use the international break to really drill the players with the new systems and the jobs they're expected to carry out.

wrong way around mate - the international break has come without a win - so just focus on the new systems and morale
