I think it's brilliant. I'm not that bothered about McLaren, I never really liked him anyway but I love the karma that Newcastle f*cked our season up in order to steal our manager, and it looks like they're f*cking their season up with the same man

'Steve McClaren has won two of his last 19 league games in charge of Derby and Newcastle, with one of those against already relegated Blackpool last season'

The BBC putting the boot in...oh dear, how sad Wink

To be fair to the man, he did see that his game plan wasn't working so he made some key changes at half time.

    ....Oh....hang on......

He's a vainglorious fool. He was in the best place he could ever be, with a rich patron on the cusp of guaranteeing promotion.

He will now be sacked by Newcastle and slip to obscurity. To be fair it's a tragedy for us both. taking into account the great 18 months he started with us.

Is reputation was in tatters before he came here, he ad opportunity to take us up and banish his England nightlife .
Now he will fail in a club that's not run right from the top and back to Holland again for him Fingers crossed

It's not just McLaren. I wonder how Simmo feels about it. I suppose he's getting very well paid, but his career is edging towards the door marked 'Unemployable'.

If Ashley wants to sack him then he will sack him in spite of whether he is a director or whether it will cost him a packet, possibly he should should have put the Brolly Wally on a 'Zero Hours Contract'.

Another whose time may be almost up is the despicable Neil Lennon, his comment on the 4-1 defeat at Uddersfeeled was, "I felt we were a bit leg weary and there was a lack of physicality about us", he was out-thought and out-manoeuvred by Chris Powell, Lennon is not fit to lace his boots and the sooner he bogs off to manage some nondescript Irish team the better.

Boy, are knives are out on Tyneside for this guy! A nice big payoff for cutting short the five year contract then off to guide the international fortunes of Tonga or New Zealand, I expect. He'll never manage in the UK at the top level again. He's a silly sod for thinking he'd get any joy out of coaching the disaster that is Newcastle United. - a club rotten from boardroom to dressing room.

SMcL says that it's just a lack of belief; maybe he should find someone (s director?) who can help him instill some belief and confidence in his team

I wonder how many chairmen are thinking of tempting McLaren away from Newcastle, because if he thought his stock was low after the England 'wally with the brolly' fiasco, he must now look back on that with almost fond memories in light of his current standing.

He was a fool, but I'm not sure he's capable of processing that information and regretting the way he behaved. Maybe we should actually thank Newcastle for prizing him away

This will be the 3rd ex-England manager Ashley has appointed and sacked.     Must give him a real buzz...........except that this one has made him look completely stupid and well conned.
Or did Keegan walk away ?
