Good on him, he's a f*ckin nut job but fair play to him, he finds a way to win.

Watched the first eight rounds and it reminded me why I believe that the truly great fighters were from at least a generation ago, if not two. Hardly any punches thrown, I'm not sure more that two punches landed in the third round.

I understand that the health of many of the greats have suffered as a result of their style, but they earned far less and were truly gladiatorial.

No matter, I digress.  Unfortunately I was "Dad's taxi" from the end of round 8, (eldest had missed his last train home from Piccadilly), but I was convinced that so little leather had been thrown, the "judges" would find a way to favour  the champion - an opinion reniforced when Woodall, Bunce et al castigated the referee for the point deduction just as Fury showed some, erm, fury in the 11th.

I had Fury 2 ahead after 8. My youngest (who watched the whole fight) had him 3 up at the end. For once in Germany, the judges got it right.

Congratulations to Tyson Fury.  All we need now is for Britain to win the Davis Cup today and it has been an almost perfect sporting weekend.
