Re: Terry Wogan dies.
Terry Wogan always seemed a genuine, good-humoured and very likeable person.
He was a rare interviewer and presenter who let his guests and subjects speak for themselves,
instead of promoting himself at their expense or insisting on being the star of the show, and was
much the better for doing so.

Must admit that soured him greatly in my eyes too. To be fair though he isnt the only celeb to profit from charity work.Charingworth Ram wrote:His gang of followers subsided once they got wind of the fact he demanded £1300 an hour to front the children in need show !!!!

No Loughs, you are getting a tad confused again. Charities make a massive profit out of me!!!! This last month me and my Business Partner raised nearly £85,000 for our clients and got a relative pittance for doing it. I do lots of fundraising activities in my own time, quizzes, etc which I don't charge for and I am the founder member and Trustee of a charity that takes a lot of my time and travel which again I don't get paid for. So I am comfortable sleeping at night thanks. I liked Sir Tel but did question his motives regarding his fee for Children in Need. Out of interest what's the latest challenge you have taken up for charity

Re: Terry Wogan dies.
Interestingly I haven't taken a single penny from any charity, any money they get from me is pure profit.

They must be chuffed to bits with all of that generosity Loughs...no doubt it has funded staff posts, vital equipment, new buildings and much needed resources...well done that man. What's your next charity project in terms of the time you give free of charge Loughs? Bet you're pretty much booked up for 2016 eh?? Charity Walk, Trek up mountains etc etc, nothing is too much for our resident charity advocate eh? I'm sure most on here, including me, give the odd quid here and there to people shaking tins......

Re: Terry Wogan dies.
We're still negotiating my 2016 calander. I suggested that they pay me to do a naked calender but they don't think it'll work out cost effective
