I know he's only part of the equation but J Barton has certainly seemed to have ended up being a good signing for Burnley.
Few crucial goals at key moments..seems to have grown up a lot and added leadership rather than being the distraction he's been earlier in his career.
Fair play to Burnley...nowt flash just organized and steady .

Still wouldn't have him ahead of a midfield of Thorne, Bryson and Hughes, the best midfield in the division in my opinion.

Was up for grabs and still available when both got injured though Loughie ...wonder if that experience would have helped us.

possibly, but you know what we are like, we would have found a way for it to all go wrong.

Barton seems to have cleaned up his act. I've seen him in a few games and he's much calmer these days. He doesn't react to being kicked and seems to be playing the senior pro role.

Might have been a useful (and certainly cheaper) option to Johnson.

He is certainly a better player than Johnson, probably good in the rooms as well inspite of his reputation he comes over in the media as interesting and well-spoken. Burnley have done very well some very good signings Keane and Gray probably the best two players in the division, they will do very well to stay up next season though.

With their current squad you are probably right Angus. However, they know what didn't work there last season and, provided there are funds available, I think Dyche is wise enough to get players in to solve the problems the PL provides.

Gary Rowett's black & white army! The only certainty is we're all barmy LOL roll
