Apparently we've agreed a fee rising to £750k for Shotton with Brum.

Got to be good news - he's a donkey.

Makes me think that we might've dodged a bullet with Rowett.

Be more bids for him after S great euros for him, lots of praise over here and court case forgotten about...... For time being

Would you let him go? I prefer to keep him especially if he can reproduce as he does for ireland

Would he want to stay? Been here since youth maybe wants new challenge , new start after court case ,

I like Hendrick and often find myself defending him to other Rams fans but I think that there is an optimum time to sell every player (which incidentally DCFC normally miss), and I think that this is probably that time for Jeff

Worryingly, I agree with Loughie again.

We're over manned in central midfield so one or more is likely to be sold. The FFP situation means that we're likely to need to generate some profit. As an academy graduate, selling Hendrick would generate the maximum book profit. Due to the vagaries of accounting, if we sign the incoming players on three year contracts (and if Mel is happy to sump up the cash), we can actually buy players for three times the amount of profit we make on selling players. So selling Hendrick for £10m (which is possible in this market with his current reputation) would allow £30m to be spent on incomers. That's some war chest for Pearson just from selling a player who is not actually even guaranteed a place on the bench.

At the moment I think that we could probably get more for Jeff than we could for Will and let's face it, Will is head and shoulders above Jeff in terms of importance to us.

We'll probably never get a better chance to cash in on Hendrick. He's had a good Euro and been praised by the TV boys. There must be some PL manager out there with money burning a hole in his pocket who's prepared to take a chance.

    £10m would represent excellent value.

I think that we are safe on the Will Hughes front until the January window. He has just recovered from almost a season out. Had a handful of appearances of which 2 or 3, IIRC, were starts. Considering the injury he had, clubs will, IMO, want to see a sustained injury free period before shelling out the sum DCFC will want for the lad.

I would cash in on Hendrick, as I don't think he offers much more than we already have. He's easily become our more sellable asset, and if Robbie Brady is valued at £12m, we should at least get £7-8m for him.

But it all comes down to how Pearson wants us to play. If he wants a more combative midfield, we may see him stay.

Hendrick has a court case coming though so his value may be zero until that is over, if a club offered big money it should be taken but there are many more players I would rather go than Hendrick.

He hasn't always had a fair wind on the team selection, played well and been dropped several times the worst example after Hull away last season.

Good business.. and with reports of Albentosa being gone by the weekend, and Bucko being in demand.. that'll be 3 CB's off the books and a saving in wages to make way for a new better one.

Malaga look likely to be in pole position, but there's apparently interest from a couple of Spanish clubs after he impressed last season.
