    All been pretty boring imo.
Guess it doesn't help that the World Cup two years ago was brilliant .
Very drab affair so far as far as I am concerned.
Just good for killing time until Pearson gets to work.

Hopefully things will improve once the knockout stages start. Lowest average goals per game in a Euro or World Cup tournament so far I heard

It's all a bit sterile in my opinion. I think with so many third place teams to go through there hasn't been the desperation from middling teams to turn one of the big boys over, knowing full well that there is plenty of room to get through even after a defeat.

Entertainment or attacking football is unlikely to improve in knockout phase, too many teams will be happy to play for a draw and the absurd lottery of a penalty shoot-out against higher ranked opponents. Even for teams like England winning a penalty shoot-out they will be called as heroes in the media, while losing one doesn't carry the same vilification as losing a match properly.

TV likes these penalty shoot-outs I think they are not much above tossing a coin as a method of deciding a game of football.
