    Skipper?

Who is going to get the job this season.

If he picks Keogh I'll be slightly worried about his evalhation of the squad, no signings and the wrong captain would certainly be negatives before a ball is kicked.

Keogh never suffered after regaining the captaincy under Wassall.

I think Pearson is savvy enough to manage the pressure for the players, half the 'trouble' he got in at Leicester was him deflecting media flack from the players.

To his credit, Keogh is always ever present, and one of the longest serving players in the squad. He wouldn't be the worst shout.

Bryson, Carson, Martin, Shackell.  Take your pick Mr Pearson,  all are leaders. You don't have to shout and point to lead.

Actually, Baird is a good leader too, but I'm not sure he merits his place.

If we want a shouter and a pointer, we could always bring back Gary Teale.....

I have this sneaking suspicion that it could be Craig Forsyth

.....as long as it aint Blackman. He was the one player on the pitch in Karlsruhe that had me thinking........... WHY?? Apart from a shot with his wrong foot he did nothing right.

I'd agree if he didn't run around like a headless chicken making mistakes all season.

I honestly think that the armband makes him a worse player. Certainly his best form and period of fewest mistakes for Derby were when he wasn't skipper

I don't see any reason for a change in captaincy, others in the team will still contribute as strongly as they have done before. If Pearson sees a weakness with the armband I'm sure he will rectify the problem sooner rather than later.
