I think that this is the worst Derbyshire cricket team I have seen in my 45 years of watching, terrible in all forms of the game

Couldn't agree more - I used to love going down there but nowadays it is a chore. Most matches end in embarrassing defeat, often snatched from the jaws of victory, especially in limited over games. Championship games, forget it - a draw is cause for celebration, and that is normally due to the weather.

The side of 2001 was remarkably bad but at least included Cork (when he wasn't appearing for England) & Di Venuto.

The current squad is terrible, and we are already 8/1 in the second innings, losing the first innings centurion Slater inside the first over. Diabolical.

A complete shambles. Sacking the coach a couple of years ago seems to have been the catalyst of decline, whilst Footit has been a big loss in the 4 day games. I have only been once this season and it was a waste of my time because they didn't even make a game of it. Shame because I like going down there and as long as the game is reasonably close I can cope with losing. Hopefully something will change soon.
