Not a rumour, just wondered what the thoughts we're for Ulloa from Leicester. Big physical barsteward, could play the "Chris Martin" role that mcjudas seems to like so much.

He might be very good but maybe short term as he's 30 now.

Leicester paid £8.6m for him in Summer 2014, so heaven knows what he'd cost now,
and he probably wouldn't want to drop a division and miss out on European Cup too.

The main reason for wanting Martin back, rather than a similar player, is probably that
    there's no transfer fee involved.

Would be ok as a loan i suppose. I think it will depend on the extent of Nugent's injury. I would prefer a younger player from the lower leagues that McLaren can 'coach' seeing as that's what he's supposed to be best at. Such a transfer would probably have to be permanent though i'd have thought.

IF Coldplay returns in the next week, and I don't expect he will, we may well have to return half of the loan fee....... approx. £1.25M

Despite lots of names being bandied about, it's beginning to look like we won't be adding any more players to our squad in this transfer window. I find it hard to believe there are no suitable players out there, so I assume SM is under orders from above to look busy without actually doing anything.

His main plan seems to have been to get our own player back from his loan spell, and that rumbled on for weeks despite being rebuffed by Fulham from the start.

Oh well, there's always the summer...

We tried for Lansbury, he went to fund their last two months wage bill. Assombalonga will more than likely be sold to fund their wage bill for the rest of the season, might we go for him for £4M?

Well hopefully coming from Exeter means he'll be fairly cheap. Then if he also follows most of other recent signings in being useless we'll only have one problem on our hands. #NoMoreConnorSammons

With defenders returning from injury and midfielders back from suspension,
Jamie Hanson is expected to go out on loan - Wigan are keen to borrow him.

Per the Scottish Sun: "The Buddies had rejected approaches from Brighton and Charlton for the winger earlier in the window.

But the Paisley club felt the latest interest from Steve McLaren’s side was too good to turn down."

Or in other words, we've laid down stupid money again.

That seems a good deal. Hope he proves a great find. I feel better about a quarter-million ventured on a young pup than 2-4 mil invested in signing old nags.

Martin's latest penalty miss (2 in succession) have riled Fulham fans, wonder if their manager feels the same?

Some brilliant reaction to his penalty miss, "you fat mess" being my personal favourite.

To be fair he is a sh*t penalty taker, but he doesn't seem to realise it.

Spot on. It would be nice if we could snap up a talented youngster for a modest fee. Perhaps his club would take Blackman in part exchange ?

When I was at Fulham in December I talked to a native on the way into the ground and asked how they liked Martin, who at that point had scored five goals in about ten matches and was around the top of the division scorer's table. I was surprised when said native was critical, complaining that Martin missed too often. Then I remembered how many Derby fans also don't like him, despite the fact that for three years he was our top scorer and our entire team was rubbish without him. Moral of the story, you can't please some folks. Hopefully that includes everyone at Fulham. While I don't like the way this has all been handled from the picture perspective, I'm an impatient fan and I want Martin's goals back on our tally sheet ASAP.

But someone else should kick our penalties.

Though, to be fair, it would really have helped us more if he'd scored.
