Brilliant if true...Coldplay just what we need up front.
Now get Thorne back fit...and maybe Fozzie and we'll be up ther by the end of the season....and have good, winning and entertaining football along the way....lets face it, Darren 'offside' Bent isn't the answer up front!

Isn't Fozzie out for the season?

We really don't need Martin's overbearing presence back in the team. We've moved on from that.

The most positive thing about this is that Fulham gave us a couple of million quid to borrow him for a few months.

Have you noticed that the iPro signs at PP have all been replaced by RamsTV signs? I wonder if RamsTV is the new sponsor? Maybe it's a new media company owned by M Morris esq. and has just paid £50m or so to sponsor DCFC, thus giving us enough FFP clout to buy the league...and get £200m back for promotion.

I thought that these sort of spurious sponsorships by owners or their companies were outlawed as far as ffp is concerned

I was being tongue in cheek

Of course we won't bend the FFP rules - just look at the punishments meted out to Leicester, Bournemouth and QPR

I do wonder what a Martin return might do to morale. Since McLaren came back the form of Bent and Ince is unrecognisable compared with the last 18 months and a few of the other fringe players have grown along with a much better team spirit, but I never felt that Martin and Ince got on and if Bent is now left out, divisions in the camp may start to develop.

Who says Mcclaren would have him back, many a season has been fekced up by bringing the wrong player in come January

I also wonder if there were valid and sensible reasons for loaning Martin and, if he returns,
whether he'll upset the balance of the side and the squad's morale. He seems to need everything
to be built around him, which is is very limiting and hasn't worked out that well for us, otherwise
    we'd have been promoted.

There's a report that Martin refused to play for Fulham against Reading, because he wants to come
back to Derby. That strikes me as self-centred, ungrateful and petulant - not what we need.
    Get West London

Just heard Chris Martin has been offered a big new deal by #dcfc hence why he pulled out of tonight's game between #readingfc and Fulham

Talksport have confirmed the CM story

Now why am l not surprised that money is involved. When we played Fulham he said how happy he was but wanted a permanent situation sorted asap.   sounds like the usual player/agent/new improved contract ploy

I think it will be great to have Martin back, we know how great things can be with him in the side. The other massive positive is that we have shown that we can play this formation without Martin so we already have a Plan B sorted. I would love it if he was to come back.

Steve McClaren found it odd that Martin had been sent out on loan in the first place, maybe it's old snake eyes who is the instigator of all this and has been hissing in Martin's ear. We need a proven Championship striker, we already have one on the books, so why not? Anyway, he's better off on our bench than scoring goals for a team that's only 3 points and 1 place behind us, isn't he?

Sorry...whoever is advocating Bent..obviously doesn't see him play...well I say play....I mean run offside and jump for headers...that is his only improvement. We have done brilliantly for the last 11 games without a centre forward..imagine with one. Coldplay will just fit it all together again...and he won't cost £12m that allegedly we were going to pay for Rhodes!
