Most memorable Rams season ( won't do least) With Sawl on this 68-69.

Most memorable Rams game. Given it was my first season it was extra special last game of the 68-69 season 5-0 v Bristol City and that trophy parade around the pitch.

Least memorable Rams game. Without a doubt Man U 76 semi.

Best ground visited for a Rams game. The new Wembley.

Worst ground visited for a Rams game. Doncaster..the old one.

Scariest away trip as a Rams fan . (There is a theme emerging here) Wolves 74-75 season we were boys surrounded by big bastaward men in the South Bank praying that Derby didn't add to Henry Newtons cracking goal...chased all the way back to the bus.

Favourite all time opposition player. Bobby Charlton

Most hated all time opposition player. Lou Macari

    Mud or today's pristine pitches. " that's right that's right" it's MUD

72/73. Around the top of the League again and did for some of the best in Europe until we got done by cheating Italian fishcakes and a bribed German ref and thereby missed out on making the European Cup final.

    Most memorable Rams game.
For me it has to be the day we beat Spurs, Greaves and all, 5-0 at the BBG. That was the day I knew we really were capable of being a force in the League.

George Best. Such a genius who, thanks to Johnny Mac, never performed against us

Pick any of the players under Revie at the DYS. Probably the worst was "Gentleman" Johnny Giles who was the dirtiest of the lot.
    Mud or today's pristine pitches.
Whatever the weather made of it
Premier league football or pre Premier league football.
Pre Premier League. The PL has brought us a plethora of great players, even more average money grabbers and a few cheats. It has also greatly diminished the chances of winning for "smaller provincial clubs" like us and Ipswich etc.
If you could change one rule what would it be.
Offside. It is virtually impossible to police efficiently or consistently and is therefore a poor Law.

Here are the votes from the Bramhall jury...

Your favourite all time Rams player.
Kevin James Hector - The King

Your least favourite all time Rams player.
Gordon Hill - I never forgave him for the semi-final in 1976

    Most memorable Rams season
68/69. A wonderful season to be a Rams fan. After years of failure we were finally back in the big time with a team to match the best.

    Most memorable Rams game.
Rams 4 Newcastle 2 in FA Cup 6th Round March 1976. We'd already beaten Liverpool and Everton in earlier rounds and Wembley seemed like a mere formality. I was totally convinced it was our year for the Cup. Never been so disappointed by the result of a football match as I was of that semi final.

    Least memorable Rams game.
    Rams 0  Sunderland 5  September 1999
Just a horrible day. I thought Phillips was going to score ten.

Best ground visited for a Rams game.
Old Trafford - we had some famous victories there.

Worst ground visited for a Rams game.
    City Ground, Nottingham

Scariest away trip as a Rams fan .
Huddersfield Town 1965 - my first away game before the days of segregating fans. I was very naive.

    Favourite all time opposition player.
Bobby Charlton. A class act in every respect.

Most hated all time opposition player.
Anyone from Leeds in the Don Revie era.

    Mud or today's pristine pitches.
Pristine. The mind boggles to think of how many goals Hector would have scored on a decent surface.

Premier league football or pre-Premier league football.
Pre-Premier League, when footballers wages were not akin to the GDP of a small Eastern European country, and didn't hide away in gated mansions in Alderley Edge. Sky's money has ruined the game as some of us knew it, but you can't turn the clock back.

If you could change one rule what would it be.
The one whereby players have wrestling matches at every dead ball situation and the refs take no action. The rule doesn't need changing - just enforcing. Make the refs enforce it by sending off repeat offenders (first time warning, second time yellow card, third time offski) and within a fortnight the problem would have gone away.

    Favourite player - Bobby Davison

    Least favourite - Kenny Misser

Memorable season - 1985/86 - promotion from the old 3rd division

Most memorable Rams game - 2-1 v Rotherham 1986 to seal promotion. Friday night in the pouring rain. Full house under the lights at the BBG. Standing on the Popside. Absolutely brilliant.

Least memorable game - losing in play off final to Leicester 1994.  It actually made me cry and seeing all those Leicester flags and banners on the way home up the M1 made the journey twice as long.

Best ground visited - apart from the BBG of course, Old Trafford especially when we won.

Worst ground - besides the City Ground, Darlington, last match of the season in 1986. Crap ground, crap match, we lost 2-1

Scariest away trip - Milwall in the 80's. Having to run to the ground from the train station. Seeing smashed shops and overturned cars, too scary for a teenage girl.

Favourite opposition player - don't really have one to be honest.

Most hated opposition player - Stan Collymore. I detest him and all he stands for. The man is a first class arsehole.

Mud or pristine pitches - pristine pitches every time.

Premier League or pre-Premier League - definitely pre-Premier League when football was played on a Saturday at 3.00pm, when referees weren't trying to be as famous as the players. Money is the root of all evil.

Change one rule - it would have to be the offside rule. If you're offside, you're offside and that would stop the bloke behind me getting so confused!!

Player Hector shades it from Mac
Least Ravanelli (although Holdsworth comes close) - long list
Memorable season: Good the promotion season with stimac - bad the premiershite 11 pointer (although I got a lot of drinks bought for me as I was working in hong kong)
Memorable game : 4-2 vs the trees with the coffee cup (although the 2-0 Taylor vs Clough pushes it close)
Favourite opposition player: Kenny Daglish - what a player
Least favourite - toss up between Savage, burns and Roy Keane - I will go for Keane
Best ground - Baseball Ground in full song
    Best away ground - Anfield
Worst ground - MK Dons when they played at the national hockey stadium
Worst away trip - Wembley play off final vs foxes
Mud or pristine - our superheros of the 70s made mud look pristine - so no preference
    Premiershite -is shite
Change one rule - like rugby only captain can speak to ref and 10 yards for dissent

Macfarland the best , loved Eranio too.
    Hated Gary Teale.
Best season was probably when Bald Eagle had Eranio, Baiano , Stimac, Asanovic etc
Best game was 5-2 win at Sheffield Wednesday under lights...they had di Canio , Nigel Clough, Des Walker and Mark Pembridge...we should have scored 10!
    Favourite opponent possibly Cantona.
    Twat was Zamora.
    Favourite Ground was the BBG
Least favourite ground possibly The Ricoh, Coventry.
Worst away trip was Darlington away back in the 1980's.
    Loved the muddy pitches.
Rule to change would be 3 non British players only allowed in match day squad..only 5 allowed on the books in total.

Your favourite all time Rams player.
    Oh Bobby, Bobby...

Your least favourite all time Rams player.
Warren Barton - bone idle, money taking ... what stands out for me is Grimsby at home sometime near xmas with him idly jogging back as Grimsby poured forward and scored. Lars Bohinen as well signified the end of Jim Smith's great team for me. God there's so many I think I'd better stop there.

Most memorable Rams season ( won't do least)
    Div 2 promotion under Arthur.

    Most memorable Rams game.
So many but Sheff Utd away in the aforementioned season, singing Portsmouth are losing and then Phil Gee planting one in, that whole end going absolutely mental. What a great memory, along with the cup win there the season before.

    Least memorable Rams game.
Leeds 0-0 on a cold Tuesday night. I remember everything about before the game. Straight there after work as wasn't worth going home, would only have had to turn round again, and I worked near the ground. First in the car park opposite the Bremner statue. Did some marking in the car, went to the chippy, had a pint on my own as no one else could make it to the game. The rest is a complete blank, I don't think anything happened at all. maybe Marino Ramberg played...that's it. Blank.

Best ground visited for a Rams game.
BBG midweek cup games, the lights, the buzz...can't be beaten

Worst ground visited for a Rams game.
    Rotherham - Millmoor
Scariest away trip as a Rams fan .
Oldham away sometime about 1983. Left 5 minutes early and it was complete bedlam outside, police dogs, violence...really was getting pretty nasty. Oakwell during the Miner's strike wasn't pretty either.

    Favourite all time opposition player.
Liam Brady when he was playing for West Ham was majestic. Scored a peach.
Most hated all time opposition player.
Gerry Gow - Animal, Animal, Animal...oh and Harry Kewell, cheating, diving swine.
    Mud or today's pristine pitches.
Pristine pitch on the first day of the season, a glorious sight, followed by 9 months of mud. That first day glimpse of the pitch used to be a special feeling. Bowling greens every week are quite boring aren't they.
Premier league football or pre Premier league football.
Pre - when football was football. Star Soccer on a Sunday and dandelion and burdock.
If you could change one rule what would it be.
Each time would be allowed a sniper on top of one stand, armed with a single bullet, with the shot to be taken at the club's discretion - make the overpaid tossers truly earn their money.

My two didn't. The youngest started to get feelings for the red half of Mancuria but they disappeared in an instant when Becks went to Madrid Thumbs up

On that basis I'd have been a Bluenose. Imagine that? My dad let me choose, and thank goodness he did.

Nothing would have made me more proud than for Paul to be a Ram, but I owed it to me Dad to let him choose. At least he has the fanatical football gene, even if it is misplaced.

Your favourite all time Rams player.
Tempted to say Toddo, but I'd be relying more on legend than actual memories, so as an aspiring right back myself in my teens, Dave Langan gets my vote.

Your least favourite all time Rams player.
Tyson. A smug face perfect for smashing with a baseball bat!

    Most memorable Rams season
Most memorable, but not the best of course, was the relegation season 79/80. Missed just the one game (Leeds away, New Years Eve), must have started at least 70% of the songs with my own fair lips (or big gob!)... and ended it all up in the rafters at Norwich, my DCFC Royal Ensign a-fluttering, as we sang "We'll be back in '81", refusing to leave until our failed hero's came out to thank us... and then they sent the dogs in about an hour after the final whistle! LOL! A great day to end a great season of away days. The weekly results, and even the relegation itself just didn't seem to matter! :-)

    Most memorable Rams game.
    In reverse order:
    4/ 12-0 v Finn Harps
    3/ 8-2 v Spurs
2/ Gladys coming out the tunnel into raw blackness, save for the sole spotlight on him, for his testimonial.
1/ Losing at home to AEK Athens in '76. My first experience of true gut wrenching disappointment ... and I've still not recovered! Having made my debut as we lifted the trophy v Carlisle in '75, I just presumed we were invincible until that night!

    Least memorable Rams game.
The one where Alan Biley had to limp around to keep 11 on the pitch... can't remember who against, or what the score was! LOL!

Best ground visited for a Rams game.
    BBG

Worst ground visited for a Rams game.
    Deepdale.
After 3 or 4 false starts, due to late postponements for snow, we finally made it, and they finally kicked off... FA Cup 3rd rd, '79(?) PNE (of Div 3) v The Mighty Top-flight Rams - Cold hard wooden bench, on the longest, coldest night in living memory. 3 fishcaking Nil!!!
The most miserable night of my football following life, and my first experience of being on the wrong end of a proper FA Cup giant killing! My nuts actually froze that night, and I remember having to rub them vigorously to thaw them out... for years afterwards!

Scariest away trip as a Rams fan .
Far too many in the late '70's... Wolves, Stoke, Luton, Ipswich, Bristol City, Boro, Anfield, Goodison, Maine Rd all spring immediately to mind, although I concede I've never been to The Den, St Andrews, or Elland Rd.

    Favourite all time opposition player.
Liam Brady without a doubt. Shout out for Phil Neal.

Most hated all time opposition player.
Never been bothered enough to care!

    Mud or today's pristine pitches.
Sand, and freshly painted peno spots! :-)

Premier league football or pre Premier league football.
    Pre-Mire!

If you could change one rule what would it be.
No added time... 90 mins means 90 mins!! LOL roll
