The mouthy Wolves MD and his Sporting Director both seem to think they've got us by the gonads when it comes to signing Weimann. First refusal for a fee of £1.5m.

Can't see a future for him at Derby, so it's probably a done deal.

To get some money back on somebody who none of our managers actually played seems like a good deal for all parties. Always thought that he was worth a run in the side, but none of the people who picked the team agreed.

Sporting Director is Kevin Thelwell a former DCFC Academy Director. He was one of the Academy bosses we worked with when we used to bring trainee coaches over From Holland. Cracking lad. Obviously has a Wolves head these days but still follows the Rams closely as does his former assistant Gareth Prosser, who is also at the Dog 'Eads these days.

never really got a run - never understand why we signed him - as luffy says recoup some money (his depreciation must bring that down to close to zero for FPP

Guarantee he scores against us next season

Don't forget Wolves will have already paid a fee for the loan, how much is anybody's guess but raises the valuation. So The Rams paid £2.75 million to get him from Villa in the summer of 2015 and will be gone in the summer of 2017 having saved 6 months on wages gaining a loan fee and a transfer fee of £1.5 million. A four year contract with the Rams half way through so a depreciation of roughly £1.3 million we more or less get our money back! (If that's how it works).

Even though I've been an adopted northerner for the best part of 30 years, I don't need a satnav to be first in the queue to drive him to Moleneux.

If only we could get Blackman, Shackell and Keogh out on loan......

Sell Keough - he has a net book value of zero so pure profit - thus giving 4 times the transfer fee (seems to be our photocopied insert salary in the blank contract)

Blackman will have to be out on loan

    shackell ditto

Never really had a decent run in the side, think Pearson would have played him if he had been fit at start of season

Personally would like us to keep him as one of our attacking options (with Martin, Nugent, Vydra & Ince)

Good luck with that, Rob. I don't sense a queue forming to take him off our hands.

It would be interesting to know how much he gets paid, and for how much longer long he's contracted to us. I expect someone on this message board knows.

Sheff Wednesday were in the hunt for him when we signed him. You never know in football.
