Vydra reminded me of Alan Durban yesterday, not the skill factor or style of play, but his quick thinking that left those around him not on the same page let alone the in the same book.

Passes and flicks into space that left him frustrated because those who were supposed to be backing him up couldn't think quick enough.

Alan Durban blossomed when the quicker thinking players joined him at Derby and we know the story from there.

    We can only hope! COYR

Good players always enjoy playing with good players and I'm sure that with the right people around him he will be worth every penny of the money we spent on him, and he's still only young.

Indeed, average players can make class players look bad. I remember a game about 4 years ago. A guy who 6 years ago was playing for AZ had retired and, after a year of not playing, he started playing in a team of his old mates. The lad's he had started playing with way back in the juniors were his teammates once more. In his debut he played some brilliant balls in the opening 15 minutes. They all went to nobody. He was so used to players knowing what was about to happen he just did things automatically. I had a quick word....... they aren't on your wavelength and aren't going to be where they should be..... it has to be ball into feet. No more stray passes after that. Vydra may reasonably expect at least some of his teammates to be on the same page.......

Is it true that as Bent was born, the midwife raised a yellow flag?

I agree with you on this one SR Vydra looks a yard sharper than the rest to me, I also believe Will now needs to move on as well for similar reason.

He has surpassed those in the team and needs a higher level to fully extend him. Perhaps that is why he has excelled so much in the England set up Dunno

I was at his debut game and the talent was obvious then, but I think he, and we, will benefit more now from moving him on.

I shall be sad to see him go, but we need to rebuild from the bottom up, as below

    1 Carson 1a Mitchell

    Back Four .....total rebuild

    Midfield ......Total Rebuild

Attack.. lose Bent, Keep Nugent........... sign Hefty mobile target man

That depends on whether Keogh was marking him at the time.....

apparently he failed his driving test as well

When asked "what is the nearside " he knew, when asked "what was the offside" he told the instructor to Bollocks and trudged back heavily to the test centre.
