only if the senior management team at our club are stupid enough to roll over - which I am hoping Mel is not now - hopefully having his fingers burnt by listening to the football guru that is Sam Rush - he will utilise his business acumen to strike the right deals for Derby County - he should arrange a meeting with Daniel Levy at Spurs if he needs some hints or tips - or the people that are in charge at Southampton.

Very sensible advice Rob, but tell MM to count his fingers after shaking hands with Mr Levy.

A huge gamble on the ability of both to play 40 games a season, IMHO.  No-one doubts their talent.

I can understand that comment being made about Thorne but Martin averages nearly 40 games a season during his time at Derby! Similar to Will Hughes so is it a gamble to rely on him as well

Incidentally your favourite centre half averages more than either of them LOL roll

In an ideal world GR would nip in and sign John Terry and get him to 'do a Dave Mackay' for us. Impossible ? That's what people said to Clough and Taylor.

If JT does move to a Championship club I'd put a few quid on them getting promoted next season.

Has the Wisdom signing actually been finalised & announced by the club yet? I've not seen anything official.

Cross your fingers, toes and anything else you have, there are tentative suggestions that Ipswich could take Darren Bent and he'd allegedly be quite keen. Surely if they want him we would offer him a free to make sure it happens.

Just checked club site. Nothing yet. Bit worrying when you know he wants to be signed as a RCB and we probably want to sign him as RB..

I'm hoping we are signing him to play with Keogh and Davies as a big, strong, quick, back three with Christie and Forsyth as wing backs and George Thorne in front of them. That would be superb

I think he's worth around £10m to a prem club, which would be great business for us in my opinion.

Wow. If we can get them to go higher we'll have thoroughly returned them the favour of selling us Butterfield.

Maybe we could throw in Butterfield for free, a kind of 2 for 1 deal

Surely £10m as a minimum for a young-ish tricky winger with a consistent Championship record.

About time we got the market value as opposed to being ripped off. Minimum of £10 million me thinks!

We got £10m for a squad player last summer, so we don't always get ripped off

The car is full of petrol, I've got his favourite CD on loop in the car (I dunno what it is yet, but when I find out I'll buy it just for him), and I've also purchased an executive right footed car foot rest (after all, he'll still need it to stand on in Yorkshire).

Sent the email to Mel, all he has to do is ring me and I'll take the day off work.....

I cant understand the total negativity around ince - he is a showboating, one footed lazy coward but he still scores 1 in 3 from midfield - which none of the other signings have even come close too

he will leave a massive hole in our offensive game and I don't see anyone in the current squad replacing his goals

if you are all happy for 1-0 hoofball then good luck

if they pay a stupid price and it is re-invested in 2 attacking young midfielders from the lower leagues I will be happy

if we replace him in the team with butterfield/Johnson/anya/wiemann I wont

Will Hughes to Watford for £5m which, according to some, is a done deal.
