Bristol City must hate the end of the season

Post by MadAmster on Sat 29 Apr 2017, 2:39 pm

I remember a game many years ago, April 19th 1969 in fact. We had won the 2nd division and were presented with the trophy before the home game against Bristol City. They came out while the lads were doing their lap of honour. They remained 2nd best all night and we hammered them, 5-0.

Today BCFC have to play in the late kick off away to Brighton..... a win for the Seagulls will see them lift the Championship Trophy.

Oh David Nugent, Oh David Nugent, we found him in Preston, we found him in Preston, we found him in Preston at the side of the road in a Volkswagen beetle............

I was at that game Mad, near the players tunnel. It should have been 10-0 not 5-0. I remember they had a sneaky player called Bobby Kellard, always doing sly fouls like Johnny Giles. He got his come uppance when Dave Mackay tackled him for a 50/50 ball in front of us and nearly snapped him in two.
