Macc town, get in! 15 minutes from my house, think my 2 and 4 year old will be getting their first live Rams experience!

Donny away appeals to me. My dad lives 10 minutes walk from the ground and there's about 2 pubs in between.

Brilliant. About 20 minutes from my house. I've seen us play them before in pre-season games and we've never won, but I'm sure this time it will be different.

Stocky, are up for this ?

I remember a pre-season at Macclesfield in around 2005. Tommy Smith and Idiakez started for the first time as I recall. They looked superb

Macc had the huge bloke playing up front - Jon Parkin. He's now playing for York City at 35 - over his career he has scored almost 200 goals in 600 appearences - or so says the internet.

Oh yes. Last time I went to Macc pre-season, we lost (1-0 I think?) and it was before the 11 pointer under Billy. When we bought John Macken on in the second half, I was already beginning to feel a little underwhelmed.

I spotted Billy leaving the players entrance some time after the game and asked how he thought we'd fare.

He said "If you thought we were good last season, then just watch us this!"

Somehow, I don't think that's what he had in mind.....

You recall correctly. Bisgaard also played a part (IIRC) and looked classy. Coming away from that game. I felt the total opposite of my feelings post the 1-0 defeat under Billy.

Not really into pre season unless to travel to newwhere ground in Europe.  Not seen rams in Europe action in 70s as only pup.
So it's Kaiserslautern only for me.
