Cyrus rates his own abilities at right back, do they fit in with your own views?

No, he's not the best full back in the Championship, but he can be close, at his best. And he's just scored for Ireland!

He can't bloody defend...his own admission earlier in the season was that he had never been taught how to defend... Bang head

His comments are the very reason I hate modern day football and the 24/7 year round coverage of a game that is no longer that interesting.
It's cricket season....other than to hear about the odd signing there should be no football talk until the excitement of seeing the first pictures of pre season training come around .

If he's that good why can't he command a regular starting place in an average mid table championship side?

He was a revelation when things were going well the season before last. The year after he signed I reached a point of wishing he'd disappear on a walk some evening, but he can play a useful part in a back line commanded by better natural defenders, and moving forward with a team that has pace, aggression and chemistry he can be extremely dangerous at this level. I'm as fed up with things at DCFC as the next Derby fan right now, but I see no harm in a player who knows he's capable of doing better expressing some self-confidence. The mental game is an indispensable part of football, after all.

Quite possibly the best attacking right back in the SBC but he doesn't know how to defend. The light at the end of the tunnel is that he isn't too old to learn........
