    New Kit Deal

Post by Loughborough Ram on Mon 12 Jun 2017, 4:45 pm

Derby County have signed a new deal with Umbro which will see them continue to supply all match and training kit until the end of the 2021/22 season.

I just want them to replicate the 1968-69 kit.
    That's not much to ask.

That's because you're old. I want them to replicate the 75-76 kit (and its colours), because I'm much younger Whistle

I'm taking priority cause of my age AND because we got promoted with that kit..history repeating itself and all that..desperate measures now.

I wish we could find a kit manufacturer willing to double as our shirt sponsor so we could go back to shirts that don't look like gaudy race cars. That is certainly too much to ask. I'll never buy another new shirt so long as I have to have some company's logo on it. Why would I pay $50 for the privilege of advertising for someone else?

My idea would be to have Derbyshire County Cricket on the football shirts and DCFC on the cricket shirts...support your local team and all that. I assume that won't fetch in the revenue though so probably out of the question.

The football and off the field issues has made DCFC the laughing stock over recent years.

If we had Derbyshire County Cricket, a team that I read the other day has not won a Championship game for TWO years, we really would be giving more ammunition to those that like to ridicule.

Derbyshire Cricket Club ought to give up and take their embarrassment of a cricket ground out of the professional tier.

Football and cricket just don't mix.

Flaxbourne wines logo is a Ram/sheep. I'd be perfectly happy with that on the shirt.

are beer companies still allowed? or get a far eastern gambling company at least we would get some funky Chinese symbols on the shirt rather than just eat - still cant get my wife to wear my third shirt as she knows I would follow the instructions printed on the front :-)

why are Derby always so shite at releasing kits - surely there is a cash flow benefit to releasing next seasons kit in June (when no match or tv income is coming into the club) rather than sometime early in the season.

The design must be agreed well in advance - unless we are changing sponsors (which doesn't happen every season) - this does not seem a sensible business decision - and they always seem to have a massive stock clearance as well
