    Your new season predictions please

Post by rjrules71 on Fri 16 Jun 2017, 6:06 am

So the new season is now ahead and I would personally like us to be aiming for the very top with automatics a fall back position.

However I am realistic enough to appreciate that a shot at the PO's is about the best we can expect.

I do hope that MM/the crowd doesn't panic though if things don't go to plan early on.

I think in GR that we have the man for the job and even when things go awry I would like to see him being helped instead of all the sniping.

Anyway I am going to predict a top six finish

If Ince goes, then top six.

    If not, then mid table.

I have no idea! Don't even know what the team will be at the start of the season, so any guess would have to be with the heart. So I will vote Champions.

Pessimistic geezer on toast I'm afraid it's just above mid table for a landing spot.
That could change with the right signing or two but right now that's what I fear will be the outcome.

If we get rid of Keogh, Champions. If not, 8th.

If we play Wisdom, Keogh and Davies as three at the back with Christie and Forsyth as wing backs and George Thorne in front of them, and manage to keep them all on the pitch for most of the games, we'll take some beating.

This season is a starting point as far as I'm concerned. Anything higher than where we finished last season is a success. Having said that I think we'll finish outside the top ten around lower middle table.

My view hasn't changed - we'll start slowly and be bottom half right through to the new year. Then we'll gradually improve and finish 8th. It'll take Rowett a while to get his ideas across and he'll face some resistance. Hopefully Mel CBE will avoid interfering or panicking. Then we'll go up automatically the following season.

Far too early to make a prediction. The two signings we've made so far should make us harder to beat, which would be nice, but we need to see who GR is planning to use to create and score the goals.

    We'll have a better idea in a month's time.

Wait and see what everybody's squad looks like come August. The heart says champions, the head says ask me again in 6 weeks time although it will have a reasonable idea come after July 22nd in Kaiserslautern.
