Wisdom for me on balance. The front 4 did well but didn't deliver well enough in front of goal. Wisdom looked assured throughout and looks to be a very good addition.

For me Wisdom gets caught in possession way too often. Give the lad his due, he usually sorts the problems he creates out without assistance from a teammate but he shouldn't be getting caught in the first place.

Keogh. Hardly put a foot wrong all night and had a very good game.

Olsson was excellent. defended well and put in a stream of decent crosses. Slowed a bit 2nd half but he needs game time.

Weimann. Was everywhere. Harrying in midfield. Defending like a lion and put in a couple of very good, and very crucial, tackles. Put some decent crosses in and a couple of less decent ones. Missing the empty goal in the 2nd minute was his one major error.

JR was JR. Put himself about. Did a lot of good things but, as ever, got a lot wrong as well. Gave away a stream of free kicks, fortunately, almost always in the corner in their half but he must have been very close to getting a "totting up" yellow.

I plumped for Weimann. He needs a goal and that, IMO, will give him the confidence to go on and get 12 to 15 this season.

Weimann for me, covering both wings seeing as Johnny Russell couldn't be arsed, Wisdom a close second.

I like Wisdom but at times he looks as though he gives the ball to the opposition so that he has something to do to get it back, almost like he's testing himself.

for me there were 3 candidates - Wisdom,Keogh or Weimann. Will go for Weimann who I thought had a really good game. Wisdom and Keogh won pretty much every tackle that they need to.

Wisdom, Keogh and Weimann were candidates for my MOTM vote and after careful thought Vydra was my final choice. He changed the clueless forward approach of the Wolves match to one of movement and availability with clever runs into pockets that gave the Preston defence nightmares. For the 70 minutes he was on the field he was by far our best player.

Despite missing a golden chance to open the scoring in the second minute, my vote goes to Weimann. He worked his socks off last night and linked up well with Vydra and Nugent.

It was a nice change to see us attacking with pace throughout the game, and if Lawrence settles in quickly we can only get better.
