    today's fixtures

Post by KeoghKeogh on Sat 26 Aug 2017, 6:36 am

Rams v Sheff Utd and Wednesday v Burton (3pm kick off)

Forest v Leeds (5.something kick off)

= several thousand opposing fans taking the M1 at similar times on the busiest road travel day of the year.

Seems like an odd bit of scheduling.

I had to check the list as your post confused me. I knew immediately that you had reversed our fixture because we are at Bramhall Lane today. The Wendy game confused me as I was astonished that the 2 Sheffield teams would be at home on the same day at the same time. Why would you reverse the fixtures or was it a complete accident?

Rams and Wendy fans will be travelling in opposite directions. It's a 40 minute drive so there shouldn't be all that much need for a toilet stop and, if folk do stop, there are 6 lanes of motorway between service stations. The odd one might have a connecting bridge...........

Red dog fans heading to Leeds will, in the main, be travelling later than Derby fans, en route to a game that I find it to be a huge shame that they can't both lose. I want a draw in that one.
