Kris Commons take on his transfer from Derby to Celtic.

    Truth or Lies? You decide.

If you have to make a choice then you go for Nigel's version.

There is a way to have both versions ring true. They have had long negotiations and DCFC have agreed to all KC's demands and even added another year onto the contract. He still refuses to sign or at least procrastinates a lot. Celtic come in with a £300K bid. DCFC say thanks a lot Celtic and Kris, off you go laddie, you have messed us about for too long so we have made the decision for you.

Even then he could have said "no, I am staying here" and gone on a free at the end of the season.....

Personally, I aint bovvered eiver way. He performed when he wanted to and that was, by no stretch of the imagination, every game. History. Behind us. The future is what counts.

Had KC ever signed a new contract with any club at that point when DCFC matched his financial requests for a new contract?

I think we realised at that point that he wasn't going to, and made the only financially sensible call we could.

Left Stoke after 3 years...... contract end.

    Trees after 4.... contract end

    Rams 3.... contract end

6 years at Celtic so he will have signed a 2nd one there

I really don't care and I don't know why Derby Telegraph keep printing such drivel.

    Thank you MA.

My case for the defence, (or lack of it, in KC's case) is closed.

    Does it really matter

None of the people involved are at the club any more

.... but DCFC is still there and is being given a bad report by a former player. Does DCFC treat people as KC describes or is there far more to the story? The latter more than likely.
