Are we going back for him in Jan ??
GR seems to be saying that both Thorne and Max Bird will be looked at at some stage tomorrow and then a decision made as to whether we need to get a different sort of player in for that area of the pitch from among the free Agents available.

Max Bird???? According to Rams Website, he's not 17 yet! A bit young me thinks...

lets hope GR does not get kicked off the park, studs caught in the turf, strong wind blowing his way.

Be great to have him back in contention

If he's good enough he's old enough.
Remember Steve Powell was 16 and playing against the best teams in the land.
Reckon Barnsley is as good a place as any to start.

Back in the fold last night in the 1-0 win vs Cardiff, with a new boss there maybe we need to move on and tie a longer deal for ledley

Ledley will be well bedded in to our squad/team by the new year. It wont be a good time to introduce fresh, relatively inexperienced blood into such a pivotal position unless we have fully accepted that this is a transition season and we have no ambition to reach the play offs?

Surely Ledley is a safer bet than a reserve at Brum? He's only 30 and a few more years

Maybe we can't afford him long term - perhaps the reason he came to us rather than anywhere else was we were prepared to pay him what he wanted and no-one else was, But what was an emergency signing in September will be replaced by a cheaper option in January. Or maybe we don't need either if George gets match fit and stays match fit

He won't be available in January IMO. The new gaffer is playing him and he is doing well.
