Everything that was missing or went wrong before was now all there in spades. Starting XI did all that was asked of them. Replacements all had good cameos. Bodes well for the future.

However, the Derby way would suggest a virtually 100% changed team tomorrow at Barnsley and back to square one on Saturday.

    Tomorrow's lineup?

I expect Mitchell in goal, Wisdom will play, GR has already said so. Keogh will play, Davis is doubtful with a groin strain and Olsson has a niggle too. Hanson if fit and GT to start as the 2. JR and Anya out wide and Coldplay and Winnall up top.

Hanson out for at least another 5 weeks. Guy is also unavailable, but has at least just re-joined full training.

Barnsley will probably play their fringe players as well in a cup competition we could all do without as no manager seems to take it seriously despite protestations to the contrary, a competition that has now been reduced to a reserves showcase.

Are their fringe players as strong as our fringe players? We will soon see.

The actual team for tonight is the same as the DT's selection except that Aya plays on the right with Bennett on the left.

    That is indeed the team.

Roos Baird Keogh Guy Lawrence Vydra Nuge on the bench

Surprised Winnall is not in the squad.
