Davies sounds more paranoid with each interview. He puts me in mind of
Kenneth Williams in the film Carry On Cleo - "Infamy! Infamy! They've all
    got it in for me!"

Here's a sample of typical Davies' rant in the Daily Record about people
conspiring against him, which shows how far he's out of touch with reality -

"In December 2014 some people were touting me for the Rangers job. So what
they did was, they hit the Rangers fans’ forums, and they wrote nasty things
about me there. My agent was told by a Rangers board member that the reason
why Rangers did not come and get me, was because of these accusations.

"Then you get these ex-pros coming along and saying, 'Don't touch Billy Davies,
it must be terrible working with Davies'. Look, I know these people aren't just
writing these things off their own back. We knew what was going on. I've been
showing this to my legal people. I've been gathering all this (evidence) for three
years now. I know what's been happening."

Nothing the Haggis Yaffling Short Arse says will ever endear him to me, he is obviously a 'man' who actually believes the garbage that he spews forth and therefore is of no consequence.

Hopefully any future jobs he gets will be North of Hadrian's Wall, preferably in the Grampian Sunday League Division 9.

As much as I don't like Billy Davies..he did get us up and he wasn't backed. I also blame the board..and further shows their bad decisions by bringing in Paul 'pornstar' Jewell

He may not have been backed but he still signed Claude Davis, Eddie Lewis and Kenny effing Miller. He also wasted most of the summer going on about how far behind the other teams we weee because we had the playoff final. Horrible self centred little man who is never to blame when things go wrong

Said on the pitch at post playoff final on TV interview by the poisoned dwarf "Derby won but I wished it could have been Preston".

It was our day of celebration and all he could think of was his former club. I wasn't sure about him before that statement and hated him with a vengeance afterwards.

P.S. when Davis was interviewed for the managers role with Derby in 2006 there was two other managers in the running for the job, Joe Royal (Ipswich) and Tony Pulis (Plymouth) and for some inexplicable reason they took on Davis on a split vote. The dwarf divided the board before he even started!

Totally agree with you. The Preston comment, the obsession about David Kelly and especially the continual stating that the players weren't good enough all made me hate him. And I actually quite liked him up till then.

But the Darren Moore interview is interesting - he, and he suggests the team, appear to have rated BD and liked playing for him.

And therefore lay the problem, they were not good enough and would not have had the chance to appear in the Premiership at that stage of their career under any other manager. Wholesale changes were needed in order to compete not the one or two BD had planned.

Agree, but the biggest reason we lagged behind everybody else in the transfer market was that Wee billy cleared off on holiday for a week (or was it two?)

Personally I suspect that he was already working his plan to get himself sacked, so his lethargy in the transfer market automatically put him, and the club, on the back foot. He also started out on the "lack of support" sob story, one which he kept bringing out of his locker on a regular basis, vis-a-vis the latest newspaper article.

If he really is as good as he makes out, he would have been back in management straight away. Yes he could get a team of no-hopers playing well above themselves, but whenever he moved on he left an absolute wreck of a football squad which no-one else could do anything with, He was also famous for the aforementioned whinging about the board's lack of support, so the skullduggery warning potential employers of his shortcomings weren't about his ability to get teams playing, it was all the collateral debris that came with him.

BD's Wembley comment about whether or not he would be here for the new season also split the then board as to whether or not they should sack him.

Having been there with several bunches of Dutch trainee coaches during BD's reign, tarined the U9s and U14s and been involved in the matchday related training the day before matches, I can tell you that BD was, indeed, well liked by the players.

On a personal level I got on with him too.

Then you have the man who made that PNE quote at Wembley, then went off on holiday rather than starting team building, bought rubbish in etc etc etc.... got a lot wrong. Like the man I knew, not impressed with the manager.
