I've been watching the Rams for over fifty years and JR's goal against the red dogs was one of the best goals I've seen us score. Everything about it was class.

Sorry he's leaving, but thanks for the memories JR.

Bit surprised he wants to leave with the premier League a real prospect next year. Not been his biggest fans as very much hit and miss but wish him well in the states

    'Texaaaas, Kansaaas.' Great song!

Russell will leave a very big hole in terms of his effort. It would be great to get someone like McLean in on that basis (albeit different players).

Maybe Russell's decision goes back to the time of the rather mysetrious 'non-footballing matters' when GR dropped him?

At least he'll be able to keep with his make of car and subways in the land of the (ahem) free...

    all the best fella!

CornwallRam wrote:This makes the Anya situation even more odd. To me there's been little to chose between Anya and Russell - Both work hard, provide forward momentum and are good defensively, but both tend to make poor final decisions.

If JR was thinking of leaving, why hasn't Anya been given some minutes on the pitch to show what he can do for Rowett?
Because Anyas next appearance in a Rams shirt triggers a £1,000,000 payment to Watford

Sadly KC is very far away, now if he came to the Portland Timbers I would make the drive.

interesting that he got a 4 year contract - that could be a factor as well as I doubt we would have offered that long a deal - also the sell on clause - so if it doesn't work out and he returns to the UK we will get something as well.

Shame he is going 4 months early but life goes on...

Although he’s gonna die from the heat in Kansas in the middle of their season.

If I can muster up a day for that I will too. San Jose is closer than Portland but I have a couple friends in Portland that I can hang with before the match.
