Probably the best result for Derby today. It gives the walking wounded a little more time to recover. Those who would have played carrying an injury won't be making it worse and there will be no new injuries. Gives us a greater chance of hitting the ground running against Sunderland a week on Friday with a fully fit squad.

We will also have a proper team available for the rescheduled game against Cardiff.

    Positive outcome!

It seems a universally popular decision among Rams fans but if you read the telegraph website Cardiff fans seem very bitter about it, one even suggested that we should have to play the re arranged game with all of our currently injured players barred from playing so that it's 'fair'.

Seems to me that Cardiff fans at least, don't fancy the prospect of playing us at full strength.

Said at the time that we should have postponed the Fulham game, and I stand by that, even more so now.

So we made it snow because our players are all injured? Why wouldn't we just have chosen to heal then if we passed such divine power? Or scored against The Scum, for that matter?

Silly Welshmen aside, great news. Everyone Should trot of to Majorca for a week to get well and try to remember which way is the other team's net.

It gets better and better. First the game is called off, then Colin throws his toys out of the pram in fine style.

Have a nice journey home, t*sser.

    Colins comments

“I’m very disappointed but not overly surprised after I heard Gary’s remarks earlier in the week about the injury crisis,” he told Sky Sports News. “I can’t accept that today and it leaves a sour taste. I think it’s scandalous, me.“I think it’s a disgrace quite frankly. You look at (Derby’s) game two weeks ago against Fulham. A lot of Derby fans are saying that was 10 times worse.“Now the EFL will try and force us to play on the first available date which gives us three tough away games.“We are going to have to fight tooth and nail against that as we shouldn’t be punished for something like this because it isn’t our doing and I believe it’s a big travesty.”

I would think it's a combination of all three. There must be a list of people that dislike Colin for his mouthy behaviour over the years.

    I imagine it's quite a long list.

An EFL spokesman told the Derby Telegraph: “The decision to postpone this afternoon’s
fixture was made first thing on Sunday morning following discussions between Derby
County, Derbyshire Police and the local Safety Advisory Group (SAG).

“It was taken in the interests of spectator safety and followed heavy overnight snow
falling in the Derby area which had built up on the roads surrounding the stadium.

“Cardiff City were informed of the decision and the reasons behind it as soon as it was
reached. An announcement was made at 8.30am.

“The EFL is satisfied from the information shared with us that these were the reasons
the match was postponed and will provide Cardiff City with the opportunity to provide
any additional information/evidence they feel is relevant
    , before responding further."

A new date will be set for the match, to be announced in due course.

This is the guy who, while manager of Sheffield United, got his players to get themselves sent off or to feign injury until there weren't enough Sheffield United players on the pitch so the game was abandoned and saved him from a bad defeat.

So loads of people don't like Neil Warnock. Well now there are two reasons: both of his faces.

I don't like the implication that we have done something wrong or infringed the rules in some way. There was heavy snow last night and sub zero temperatures all day today, and these conditions moved west from us (towards Wales). With modern information always on the cautious side and public information not to travel unless absolutely essential, this decision always seemed likely. Colin moans about us being ready to play against Fulham when it was worse, apparently, however the difference was surely the time scale, the snowfall before the Fulham game was 36 hours before kick off, today it was 6 hours before kick off.

In my opinion I think that the Rams should be reporting Colin W*nker's comments to the EFL and demanding action as he is clearly suggesting that we have cheated or at the very least broken the rules in some way.

Oh yes, I really hope that we beat them when the game is eventually played and the fans give him the stick he deserves.

Let's not upset the man more than we need to.

Heaven knows, when he get's the boot at Cardiff, we might must bring him into the fold at Derby as he seems to have the midas touch when getting teams out of the Championship, something which despite countless managers and tens of millions of pounds, Derby have failed to find.
