Could have been a few of them..but Keogh drove us forward last night on many occasions which gave us the momentum and impetus

...and, at 1-1, in the 76th minute, he clearly trod on Zohore's foot in the penalty area when attempting a silly challenge.  Thank goodness the Cardiff man didn't do a "Jerome", or we might be telling a very different story this morning.

Wisdom's final ball (apart from the assist) was not great, but his athleticism gets him close.

Tom was superb. Again. One instance in the first half when he got both KK and CD out of trouble in 90 seconds was pure class.

I'd be tempted to give it to Jerome for the two goals. He still has the touch of a Ched Evans, but boy did he work hard again.

No.  I can't look past Tom. Impeccable.

between Keogh and Lawrence for me, both had excellent games and Keogh came back and was keen to get involved in a build up. Jerome was good especially with 2 goals

all round good team effort keep it up

What that chap from Stockport said. Quite a few very good performances but Tom was coolness and effectiveness personified.

I will also have a go at naming their man of the match. IMO, Jamie Ward. Selected purely, IMO, to negate the speed of Wisdom which he did very well. He was up top trying crosses and having a shot, he was in midfield defensively and offensively and he was very busy in defence.

Keogh deserves massive credit tonight, playing against somebody who has splashed his deficiencies all over the internet, it would have been totally understandable for him to shy away from carrying the ball but he was always willing and didn't hide once. It's ok to criticise but you weaken your argument if you don't praise when it is deserved. Highlighting one mistake in a game where he produced so much good seems churlish in the extreme.

Having said all of that I have to say that Cameron Jerome was absolutely f*ckin awesome last night. He was playing against three of the biggest, roughest defenders in English football and he ran them ragged, he didn't give them a moments peace. He fought for every long hopeful ball that we launched forward and won more than his fair share. He also scored two well deserved goals, both of which owed much to his strength and power. His touch isn't always reliable but when you are being clattered from behind every time the ball is played into you, that is sometimes understandable.

Jerome was the clear MOTM for me

It's funny how we see things differently, isn't it? Until he scored I thought Jerome was useless, barely touched the ball and when he did, seemed to barely win it. I was sat here bemoaning the fact we don't have decent centre forward (though at least we don't have Gary Madine) when he scored. And then he was twice the player, and then he scored again. So probably the man of the last twenty minutes, but probably not of the first 70, IMO.

I voted for Tom L by the way. End product was below par tonight, but he still looked our best player.

We didn't manage to score until Vydra came on, then we scored three.

He may be the best impact sub that we've ever had.

I voted for Jerome and the first half I made a post on my own FB page asking what use was he, needless to say I might have been a bit wrong when it came to that during the match. I ate some humble pie.

Let's hope we see the 2nd half Jerome on Saturday rather than the 1st half one. I won't be betting on it though

He actually got service which is usually a big help for a striker.

Interesting that Gay Rowett said that he benched Vydra because in most gamed he gets clattered hard several times early on in the game which can tend to quieten him down. Glad its not just me who has noticed it, but the tactic worked a treat. It didn't stop Cardiff thugging him - their approach is to kick lumps out of everything that moves, and if it doesn't move, kick it till it does move, then kick lumps out of it. But it did give a massive impact - Vydra's arrival took some of the attention away from Jerome, with the obvious benefit as a result. Well done Gazza!
