    Craig Bryson

Post by SawleyRam on Tue 08 May 2018, 10:47 am

What will happen to Craig Bryson now his loan has finished at Cardiff? The choices are:

1-See if Cardiff will sign him permanently for Prem.
2-Wait to see what happens to Derby in the playoffs.
3-Come back to Derby and a chance to play in the Championship?
4-See if they are any offers from elsewhere.
    5-Flip a coin?

    Who'd have thought?

Box to box MF doesn't seem to fit GRs requirements.

Surplus to reqs so on his way.

Idem ditto Coldplay, Butters and Blackman

I would have him back but can see him signing for Cardiff now.

I agree. And I can't see Cardiff wanting him in the Premiership really. I guess we'll cut our losses on all four if we can move them on, even for frees. Blackman seems to have done well in Israel - though seen nothing lately - so he might stay there

Personally I'd keep Bryson and Martin if we don't go up. Butterfield and Blackman I would sell

shows how much expensive elements of the squad are still under contract - I would have kept Bryson - offers something different to our static ping the pass central midfield but seems he is not wanted - the rest I think we will struggle to get rid of due to wages - Martin has hardly set the world alight at reading, butterscotch is not a first eleven player at wendies, I imagine we are paying a good chunk of blackmans wages (I had totally forgotten about him TBH) - at least bent and shackell are off the books from June

We play a front 1 or a front 2, or have done this season so far. Not systems that suit Martin so he is surplus and will be unloaded if we can find somewhere that will take him that he wants to go to.

Bryson could fit in the 1-3-5-2 formation but at 31, just maybe we should give someone like Elsnik that place in the squad.

Butters and Blackman can be released on a free for me.

martin hasn't done much in last 18 months really between Fulham and reading.

Apparently he has been furthering his knowledge of vermiculture on Reading's training ground.
