    Pass of the season.

Post by Stockport Ram on Tue 08 May 2018, 7:21 pm

Cornwall Ram's comment about Bradley Johnson's pass for Jerome's goal got me thinking  about the "pass of the season" from a Derby player.

Have we got any other candidates that get close?

I've got to say I can't remember many, if any, as good as that one this term.

The best I've seen for a number of years was Johnny Russell's to Martin for the opener at Preston, 3/4 (?) years ago.

The pass to Nugent for his goal away at Norwich, I think it may have been Huddlestone. I also think that Hudds has played many superb passes this season that haven't resulted in goals so may have gone unnoticed.

I do believe that great pass was by Richard Keogh.......... the highlights agree with me.

'Twas indeed Ammy.  Hudds made it special by leaving it and it threw Nuge's marker just enough for him to take it in his stride and let the pace of the pass beat his man.

I'd like to think Hudds didn't get a shout.  If so, it was genius.

    Very good pass by Keogh.

I agree LR, some of Huddlestone's passes this season have been sublime.

For me when Huddlestone starts really opening the game up with the bigger passes in his locker like he did last night that’s when I know we are in with a chance.
His range of passing is brilliant but when he starts turning defenders like he was last night then he’s something else.
I wish he would do it more.
What ever happens from here on in I’ve enjoyed watching the lad play in a Rams shirt again.
    Lovely Footballer.

It's got to be said what influence has Hudds had on Bradley Johnson? Jonno is doing other things like passing with accuracy over 30/40 yards in a way we've never seen before therefore giving another dimension to our game when needed. Must be having lessons from Tom extra curricular.

I am waiting for late 2nd half at Craven Cottage when their keeper is 40 yards up the pitch playing as an extra sweeper.... Hudds passes the ball 70 yards into the empty net........
