Difficult choice, as our best footballer was pressed in the last twenty minutes and made mistakes.

I continue to be disappointed with Lawrence because he does so many good things but makes key mistakes, often due to instinct.

Fozzy made as many errors as Keoogh, but didn't cost us a goal.

Bradders excellent. Jerome again did what he is paid to do.

    Carson MOTM for me. faultless.

    Fair point.

Reminded me almost identically of Jack Hobbs goal at the City Ground which allowed Sam Rush to sack Nigel.  He was Fozzy's man too.

An almost identical run and header, but a better one tonight.

We would have gone into the away leg 0-0 without Fozzy...you pay your money and you take your pick.

Would the second have occurred after the first? Who knows....

Only Davies and Carson shone for us.

I voted for Davies, because he had to try to do two jobs with Forsyth having such a poor day.

Carson was brilliant as he usually is, but he only had to do one job.

Davies had to do three jobs.

    MOTM thrice.

I reserve the right to change my mind.

Get a centre half to compliment him and, wirh GR, we will walk this league.

    Steady on there Stockers........

Davies or Carson for me too. Shame we can't nominate them both so I will err just on the side of CD.

I have it on good authority that Keogh often tells CD how good he is so maybe we would do better if CD had a partner who complemented him Wink

Walk the League? Not yet IMO. There are more problems to be solved than just your hobby horse. There is the skill level for starters. Fulham get most of their passes in the right place at the right time with the ball travelling at the right speed for ease of control. Fulham keep moving off the ball and, in keeping with an old football truth, when not in possession, get into position.

We all agree that possession for possession's sake is useless, however, dropping back and backing off is even more so. We did both last night in spades. Was that the players moving into some sort of defensive comfort zone or were the defend, defend, defend and have the odd counter tactics GR's game plan. The former requires different treatment to the latter.

Opposition teams often harry and press us into errors through rushing passes and not really getting the ball under control. We surrender 70 yards of the pitch and then defend zones rather than marking players. We managed 14 shots all night whereas they had almost as many actually on target.

Their 1st. When the cross came in, Sessegnon was right next to Wisdom, Keogh was central, where he should have been, in his zone. When Sessegnon moved inside Wisdom should have gone with him. Keogh should also have been aware of the lad's movement and lack of a marker but I put most of it on Wisdom. Also, the lad who put the cross in. 30 yards out and no yellow shirt within 10 yards of him. that is just asking for trouble.

As things stand, I would expect no more out of next season than we got this season. An interesting roller coaster ride ending in no promotion. We need to move on quite a few players and get some replaced by incoming skill, hunger and pace. We also need to give some of our own a chance. I will take a long, hard look at our transfer movements in the summer before even thinking about predicting mext year's finish.

One last thing SR, no more threats of 'arrises, roundabouts or Woolies as they might just be the reason behind our failure..... nobody wants to see it LOL

I've gone for Carson as our MOTM. He kept us in the game for an hour but was let down by his defence, with the exception of Davies.

Both their goals were 'soft' ones. Why was Sessignon left completely unmarked for their first goal ? How can Forsyth get beaten in the air by Fulham's smallest player for their second goal ?
