Seems a bit of a nothing article really and doesn’t state anything we didn’t already know. £8 million is guess work, the DET is guessing at more like £15million. I definitely think we need more than £10 million for him

I'm perhaps a little surprised by Baird, but he is about 36 and probably on decent wages. Hopefully we can find a young right back somewhere to challenge Wisdom as it seems he needs that kick up the arse every now and again to perform at his best.

I still like what very little I've seen of Timi-Max Elsnik. He was very good in the The Macc pre season friendly. Decent touch, engine, vision and strong/quick enough.

Have any of the "locals" seen much of him in the flesh ?

I thought Cover and Stabana were also being tipped for big things, but obviously not here at Derby!

Lowe seems to be doing good at Shrewbury, he still has one game to go as they made the League One Playoff Final against Rotherham.

Here's a thought that might please my honourable friend from Stockport (and more on here).

First choice back 3 of Wisdom, Pearce and Davies (Fozzy as cover)

Lowe and Bogle as the wing backs.

Guy, Vernam, Bird, Thomas all in the squad getting some game time. Pressure on Dad's Army that will either see them performing well week in and week out or being replaced by a younger model.

For the price we paid for Davies, we could also get another quality one with the Keogh money.

(Ooh i'm getting a bit excited now. I must stop it).

I've watched him playing for the U/23s on Rams TV and he has always impressed me with his workrate, vision and skills, also he was getting rave reviews before his injury at Swindon.

Definitely deserves a run in the team.

Bogle was part of the 1st team squad last season and is another who could break through, Max Lowe has not been getting regular games at Shrewsbury but I have always thought he could be 1st team material if he bulked up a bit, he certainly has attacking skills and a sweet left foot.

In a perfect world if we could alter this squad this is what I would do

Scott Carson (keep if we can), Craig Forsyth (sell), Richard Keogh (cant believe I am saying this but keep), Ikechi Anya (sell), Tom Lawrence (sell), Andre Wisdom (keep), Bradley Johnson (sell), Alex Pearce (keep), Andreas Weimann (keep), Mason Bennett (sell), Kelle Roos (sell), Matej Vydra (keep if we can), Max Lowe (keep), Jamie Hanson (keep), David Nugent (sell), Marcus Olsson (sell), Cameron Jerome (keep), Curtis Davies (keep), George Thorne (send to knackers yard), Jonathan Mitchell (keep), Joe Ledley (Sell), Tom Huddlestone (keep), Luke Thomas (keep), Jayden Bogle (who?), Chris Martin (sell), Craig Bryson (sell), Jacob Butterfield (free to good home), Nick Blackman (see butterscotch).

Have a realistic view on the academy - if they have the potential put them around the first team squad - if not get rid - we are not a premier league club so stop wasting money on something that is not delivering.

This means we need a shit load of young hungry up and coming players from eastern Europe/Africa and the lower leagues - which should influence the choice of manager.

Now that Mel is closing the purse (hope he is not going Ellis Short on us) we need that sort of manager - I still go for the Lincoln brothers or bring back Nigel - proven to find talent without spunking millions

Jayden Bogle is an outstanding young right back who I would play at right wing back.

No way would Nigel comtemplate coming back.

I think MM is actually much closer to the amount he is prepared to put into the club rather than that we are to FFP bother. Just an opinion.

    Slightly moving off-Topic,

Rather than players In & Out this Summer...

How much more is Mel willing to give? Is it time for him to sell up and quit. Do we need that MAD International investment and buy ourselves to the promised land?
Would we the fans be happy with that?

I've had some "dealings" with these foreign investors..... Money is nothing to them....

Lets get on the same gravy-train as the other clubs.
