BBC Radio Derby understands Cardiff City have NOT agreed a fee with Derby County over the signing of Craig Bryson.

Several media are reporting the Bluebirds have had a £1.75m bid for the 31 year old accepted.

do you think he would go to Brighton? has his wife set up a business locally and we could be heading up next season so I think a move to Brighton would be a bad move.

Has anyone seen or heard a transfer rumour that isn't just
a wild guess (or a hopeful suggesstion) in the last week or so?

Most rumours that I've seen lately look less and less believable
    than rumours posted weeks ago.

don't worry according my sources we will be announcing the signings of 10 players this Friday - I promise - it is amazing how many "sources" fans on forums have that never seem to come true.

I don't anticipate too much happening until we shift some high earners or someone who can command a decent fee

I reckon that this season is going to be an enormous test for Lampard.

As a rookie manager he's bound to make mistakes, yet the expectations of the fans are very high. If we don't look like promotion candidates he will be seen to have failed.

Yet his job appears actually harder than that of McClaren and Rowett. It looks like he doesn't have a lot of cash to play with, but it's the transfer window which is his real handicap.

This season it closes on August 9th. Unlike his predecessors, Lampard will not have any time to adjust his squad when competitive matches highlight any weak areas. That's a tough ask for a green manager.

So why are we making it even more difficult by not signing our players early? At least Lampard could see his squad in friendlies and training. It's most odd how lethargic we appear to be in this window.

According to my sources we've signed nobody of any significance nobody yet, but have at least spent less than Forest. So a mixed bag.

Maybe he is being sensible. Apart from the deadwood released by PL sides a few weeks back, we have no idea who may be available that we might want. Be that an experienced player or a young un. PL squads will start to take shape over the next 2 weeks and it is then, and only then, that FL can make any moves for buys or loans.

This is also giving him time to asses the highlightd piece of Cornwall's post. He is now working with the squad to play in HIS preferred system. Just maybe, he is taking his time looking at how the players we already have, who are serial playoffs or thereabouts performers fit into how he wants to play. It will be then when he decides who he needs to replace and who he wants to replace them with.

I don't see it as lethargy, more like due diligence. Now, that would be a first for a new DCFC manager.

Anything we do is apparently tied into us moving Vydra on..
So if he doesn’t go it’s apparently going to be as you were.

If that is so and other clubs know that as a 100% fact then of course they are going to try and get the lad on the cheap.

Does anybody still think that Rowett was wrong to move on?

Less than a month to go and we are desperately touting around last seasons golden boot winner before we can borrow a handful of teenagers. Only at Derby County

If that remains the same the shouts for Morris to sell up will become more vocal.

Over the years we seem to have shown that when we have money, we are incapable of spending it well. If we are on a budget, like Jim Smiths early tenure, Arthur Cox's first few years or Nigel Cloughs entire reign, as a club we appear far more comfortable.

At the end of the day Lampard could have exactly the same squad as the snake and come up with tactics and a playing style that suits them down to the ground and they produce...or

Rumours today that Rowett now wants to take Vydra to Stoke after Leeds failed to agree personal terms with him. Seems more likely as Rowett knows the player and vice/versa, plus Stoke will have more money to spend than Leeds due to parachute payments.

Because he played him in his favoured position for the most part of the season, subbed him when his little legs got tired and put him on the bench in games he thought he might struggle or was carrying a knock towards the end of the season. Remember Vydra is not yet training with the first team squad, so obviously had an injury from last season to sort out.
