Post by Calif_Ramette on Mon 21 May 2018, 3:51 am

Shak's yearly EFL who is going up/going down 2017/2018 edition (I do this every year on FB)

    Premiership:
Down: Swansea City, Stoke, West Brom

    Championship:
    Up: Wolves (Champs), Cardiff
Playoffs: Fulham v Aston Villa (26 May)
    Down: Burton, Sunderland, Barnsley

    League One:
    Up: Wigan(Champs), Blackburn
Playoffs: Shrewsbury Town v Rotherham(27 May)
    Down: Bury, MK Franchise, Northampton

    League Two:
    Up: Accrington(Champs) Luton, Wycombe
Playoffs: Exeter City v Coventry * The entire Coventry v Notts Co tie was one of the worst officiated ties I had ever seen. Coventry should not be here* (28 May)
    Down: Barnet, Chesterfield

    National:
Up: Macclesfield (Champs), Tranmere (playoff winners)
Down: Guiseley, Chester FC, Torquay, Woking

Did you not see the horrible calls, the disallowed and clearly onside goal for Notts, the offside goal for Coventry, the penalty that never was in the first leg for Coventry?? It was a travesty.

    I did.  I don't disagree  Calif.

I just think the respective teams reflect their managers - Nolan was a bustling energetic little Sh&t  and Robins could play.  Coventry tried to get the ball down and play a bit - Notts didn't.

I guess for me I can't look past the horrid mistakes that cost Notts Co a shot at the final. Did Coventry play better football, by far but yea can't overlook the officials for me. I hope Exeter smash them.

Didn't they have VAR at the playoff semi's? If they did was it used?

Especially in games like this when there isn't "the chance they will even themselves out over a season" surely mistakes like this shouldn't be allowed.
